[header=introduction]2. Introduction[/header]

Welcome to my Transportation Guide. I hope that it will help you to understand the easiest and quickest ways of travelling around the Maple World!

Note: This guide was not intended to be read from start to finish, but rather used as a reference when travelling.

[header=tips]3. Tips on Easy Transport[/header]
-Will be expanded at a later date.-

Return Scrolls

Return Scrolls - Nearest Town:
Nearest Town Return Scrolls are a travellers best friend. I recommend buying 100 of these scrolls at a time, because there is no point in not having a full stack of them. These can be bought at any potion shop for a small price of 400 mesos each.

Victoria Island Town Specific Scrolls:
These can be bought from the potion shops in any major town on Victoria Island (Henesys, Perion, Ellinia, Kerning City, Lith Harbour or Sleepywood). All of these cost 500 each from their respective town potion shops.
eg. Henesys Return Scrolls can be bought at Henesys.

Return Scroll - New Leaf City:
New Leaf City Return Scrolls are possibly the best invention in the Maple World (apart from the Nearest Town scrolls). These can be bought after completing a small quest or by buying them in the FM. These scrolls can only be used in Amoria, but can cut 5-10 minutes out of your travelling time.

Mounts

Mounts are a very non-cost effective way to travel around. However, they can cut time of travelling and look rather awesome.
Each mount costs at least 10 million mesos and can be obtained by a quest.
I will not go into each specific mount as there are too many to list.

Taxis - Inspired by @xbigbang

Victoria Island Taxi
The Victoria Island Taxi can be found in most major towns on Victoria Island (Lith Harbour, Henesys, Perion, Ellinia, Kerning City, Nautilus) and can be used to travel from each city easily. Simply talk to the NPC and pay roughly 1000 mesos to be transported to a major city of your choice.
Note: Even though there is no taxi in Sleepywood, you can travel there from other towns using the taxi.

Danger Zone Taxis

Ludus Lake Taxi
The Ludus Lake Taxi can be found in Ludibrium and can teleport you to Omega Sector, Elin Forest, Korean Folk Town or Path of Time for around 55,000 mesos each trip.
Note: The Ludus Lake Taxi is only in Ludibrium, so if you take it to Omega Sector you will have to get all the way back up Eos Tower.

Leafre Taxi
The Leafre Taxi can teleport you to Leafre: Entrance to Dragon Forest for a fee of 55,000 mesos. This isn't as handy as it was pre-BB where you had to get to Newties/Skelegons, but it is still worth mentioning.

El Nath Taxi
The El Nath Taxi can teleport you to El Nath: Ice Valley I for a fee of 55,000 mesos and can be found in El Nath. This is very useful if you need to get to LHC or Zakum.

[header=towns]4. Transportation to Towns[/header]
[header=spc]Anywhere on Victoria Island to Six Path Crosssway:[/header]

This is very simple, but some people still might need an easier way of doing this.

1. Travel to the nearest main town. (Henesys, Perion, Kerning City, Lith Harbour, Ellinia or Sleepywood.)
2. Use the Regular Cab to Sleepywood if not already there.
3. Go one map to the west of Sleepywood and you will be at the Six Path Crossway.

Estimated Travel Time:
From Main Towns: 1 Minute
From Sleepywood: 10 Seconds.

[header=vic to orbis]Victoria Island to Orbis:[/header]

There a few different ways to get from Victoria to Orbis, but one is easily the best.
1. Go north from the Six Path Crossway until you reach the boat portal map.
3. Go into the top portal to Edelstein.
4. Talk to the NPC there and take the boat to Edelstein.
5. Once there, take the boat again to Orbis.

Estimated Travel Time:
9 minutes

[header=vic to edelstein or ereve]Victoria Island to Edelstein or Ereve:[/header]

It is extremely simple to get from Victoria Island to Edelstein (Resistance) or Ereve (Cygnus Knights).

Edelstein:
1. Go north from the Six Path Crossway until you reach the boat portal map.
2. Climb to the top and then go inside the portal.
3. Take the boat to Edelstein.

Ereve:
1. Go north from the Six Path Crossway until you reach the boat portal map.
2. Climb to the map with the and then go inside the portal.
3. Take the boat to Ereve.

Estimated Travel Time:
To Edelstien: 6 Minutes.
To Ereve: 3 Minutes.

[header=vic to leafre]Victoria Island to Leafre:[/header]

There are two paths that you can take to get from Victoria Island to Leafre, one of them is rather long and one of them is rather short. You must have travelled the long way before you can travel the short way. The short method costs 30,000 mesos each time it is used.

First Method:
1. Follow the method on how to get from Victoria Island to Orbis easily.
2. From Orbis, take the boat to Leafre.

While at Leafre, talk to Chief Tatamo and buy at least 2 magic seeds for 30k each.

Second Method:
1. Head to "North Forest: Green Tree Trunk" in Ellinia and press up on the portal in the north west of the map. One magic seed will be used and you will be transported to Leafre.
2. Use a town scroll to be taken to Leafre.

Estimated Travel Time:
First Method : 15-20 Minutes
Second Method : 3 Minutes.

[header=vic to rien]Victoria Island to Rien:[/header]

Rien is a town of talking penguins.

1. Head to Lith Harbour using the regular cab found in most towns.
2. Locate Puro the NPC and talk to him.
3. Take the boat to Rien.

Estimated Travel Time:
2 minutes.

[header=vic to kc]Victoria Island to Kerning Square:[/header]

Kerning Square is a good training place from levels 30-50, and this is how you get there!

1. Head to Kerning City through a regular cab in any main town.
2. Go to the far west of town and enter the subway.
3. Talk to Subway Ticketing Booth and click on Kerning Square.

Estimated Travel Time:
30 Seconds.

[header=orbis to ludi]Orbis to Ludibrium:[/header]

Orbis to Ludibrium can take a lot of time if you don't know what you're doing. However, the easiest way to traverse between these continents is rather simple!

1. Take the Crane to Mu Lung.
2. Ride the Crane again, but this time to Herb Town.
3. Go west of Herb Town and catch a ride with the dolphin to Aqua Road.
4. Talk to the dolphin again, but this time go to the Sharp Unknown.
5. Go to the far east of the Sharp Unknown and enter the portal.
6. Go up the well and you will have entered Korean Folk Town.
7. Go inside the middle portal at Korean Folk Town and climb up 2 maps until you reach an elevator.
8. Go in the elevator and wait 10 seconds until you arrive at the top of Helios Tower.
9. Use a return scroll and you will be planted in Ludibrium.

Estimated Travel Time:
3-4 minutes.

[header=orbis to mulung]Orbis to Mu Lung, Herb Town or Aqua Road:[/header]

Mu Lung, Herb Town and Aqua Road are used a lot when travelling, and it is useful to know how to get to them.

1. From Orbis, take the Crane to Mu Lung. If you needed to get to Mu Lung, stop here.
2. If you need to continue to Herb Town or Aqua Road, talk to the same Crane and fly to Herb Town. If you needed to get to Herb Town, stop here.
3. If you needed to get to Aqua Road, then simply go west of Herb Town one map and take the dolphin to Aqua Road.

Estimated Travel Time:
To Mu Lung : 1.5 Minutes.
To Herb Town : 1.7 Minutes.
To Aqua Road : 2.5 Minutes.

[header=orbis to ariant or magatia]Orbis to Ariant or Magatia:[/header]

Ariant is an easy place to get to which also has many uses.

1. Head to Orbis from any town.
2. Take the genie boat to Ariant.
3. If you want to get to Magatia, simply go to the far east of Ariant the town and go in that portal. Then take the Camel Cab to Magatia.

Estimated Travel Time:
To Ariant: 8-10 Minutes.
To Magatia: 9-11 Minutes.

[header=ariant to vic]Ariant to Victoria Island[/header]

There is actually a secret way to get to Victoria Island from Ariant which is very fast!

1. Head to the far East of Ariant (the town) and go in that portal.
2. Continue going East another map.
3. Once at The Burning Sands: Tent of the Entertainers, talk to Karcasa and you will be automatically transported to a random town on Victoria Island.

Estimated Travel Time:
2 minutes.

[header=nath to orbis]El Nath to Orbis:[/header]

If you would like to spend money to buy a rock scroll, you can simply go west of El Nath and up the tower until you reach a rock, where you can use a scroll and be transported instantaneously to Orbis. However, if you are poor (like me) you can follow these simple steps and be there shortly!

1. Go west of El Nath and climb down Orbis Tower
2. Continue going south until you reach the bottom of the tower, where you go east one map and then use a return scroll.
3. You should now be at Aqua Road, where you simply talk to the dolphin who will take you to Herb Town.
4. Go into Herb Town and talk to Crane (the bird up the top) and ask to be taken to Mu Lung.
5. After you arrive, take the Crane again to Orbis.

Estimated Travel Time:
2-3 minutes.

[header=nath to orbis 2]El Nath to Orbis #2 [/header]
- Suggested by @platlost -

1. Go west from El Nath until you hit the tower, then go up it.
2. Go up until you get out of the snow floors (Floor #8 or #9)
3. Use a return scroll and bam, you're in orbis.

Estimated Travel Time:
2 Minutes.

[header=leafre to tot]Leafre to Temple of Time:[/header]

The Temple of Time is a very easy place to get to.

1. Get to Leafre following the other section (Method 1 or 2).
2. In the same map where the Leafre boat takes off, go up and talk to the NPC.
3. You will be transformed into a dragon. Simply fly east until you reach Temple of Time.

Estimated Travel Time:
1-2 minutes.

[header=ludibrium to ef]Ludibrium to Ellin Forest:[/header]

Ellin forest is a town of magic and young people, but you need to know how to get there!

1. Go east from Ludibrium until you get to Helios Tower.
2. Head north one map and then enter the portal.

Estimated Travel Time:
2 minutes.

[header=any to zipangu or showa town]Anywhere to Zipangu or Showa Town:[/header]

Zipangu (Mushroom Shrine) and Showa Town are both accessed from Spinel the World Tour Guide, who is in pretty much every town.

1. Talk to Spinel and get transported to Zipangu.
2. If you need to go to Showa Town, simply head East from Mushroom Shrine until you get to Zipangu : Forest of animals.
3. Enter the North-east portal and then use a return scroll.

Estimated Travel Time:
Mushroom Shrine: 1 Minute.
Showa Town: 2-3 Minutes.

Tip: - Suggested by @LEGENDairy -
An easier way to get to Showa Town from Zipangu or Zipangu from Showa Town is to:
1. Enter the Showa Town Spa.
2. Talk to the NPC there and buy Fruit Milk (Takes you to Showa Town) or Strawberry Milk (Takes you to Zipangu).
3. Use them as you would Return Scrolls!

Would it be good if I added in a Family Teleporting section, maybe with all the big families of every server?
It takes nowhere near 1 minute to get to Kerning Square. It's more like 10 seconds.
The train ride takes 10 seconds, but I also counted in the time it takes to get to Kerning.
Good point though, I'll change it to 30 seconds.
Ben:

add that you can use Vic return scrolls to go form Ererve-> Vic.
also, add a little on Ani Raid Teleporting.
ie: wait for the invite, go to the dimensional portal into a pq, go in the raid, leave the raid/ finish the raid, and you should be in the town of the pq (ludi pq= ludi, etc)
but it worked with the cake vs. pie invites, too

This may have been patched- I'm not sure- I'll go check sometime.

Also, some PQs don't work, like the Dojo, KPQ ( i think), and the ariant pyramid thingy.
I don't think it will be a good idea to post glitches.

@chessguy4: It varies a lot because of Flashjump/teleport or people who have to walk/use a mount. For me it takes roughly 8 minutes to go Vic>Edel>Orbis.

Just wanted to point out, some quests in Omega Sector grant you Ludi Capsule/ Omega Capsule.
This Capsules will teleport to to omega sector and ludibrium from anywhere in the Ludus Lake continent.
Also, i believe there's a quest in nautilus granting you 5 coins which you use there to teleport yourself from
Nautilus to Omega Sector and vice versa.

If you have been playing for x amount of years and have a fourth job character, you will probably know all of this.

I don't think that works anymore, but I will still test it after the S/C anyway.

Also, I have added in various tips from people, including the brand new Taxi section inspired by @xbigbang and a cool way to get around Zipangu, suggested by @LEGENDairy.

There's a new VIP cab in Ludi that can transport you to Omega Sector, Elin Forest, Korean Folk Town, and Path of Time (there might be one more). Thought you might like to know!

Also, I think the mount costs 20m for adventurers but 10m for aran/evans.
