I'd just try redownloading it

I think it needs to get patched or else someone told me to uninstall maplestory and defragment the disk and re-download it.

I have had that issue for about 3 weeks now. I have redownloaded it in every way possible, and I have done practically everything. Still can't get on...

@ChrisLegend: Hm... Very mysterious
May have to try reinstalling/redownloading. If it's STILL happening... may just have to wait for Maple to pull it's head out of it's butt >.<

This happened to me once. I couldn't log on for a long time.
Then after a S.C. it fixed the problem. At that time it was about a 2 week span before I could get back on.
@ChrisLegend: Try the stuff that @Its033 said - checking Task Mngr & reboot if Maple isn't trying to run more than one instance.
If that doesn't do it, try checking your antivirus/firewall (if you can) and make sure it hasn't mysteriously started blocking Maple. That's usually the next most likely culprit.
Still happening
Whatcha running?
Does it happen with other games?
Has it happened before?
Do you get any error messages?
TEST, DAGNABBIT!
[[ Sorry, budding computer security/assistant expert here, and its been a long day... ]]

Seriously though, it could be any number of things. Gonna need more information.
Does not happen to my other games. Never happened before. Does not show a error message.

it sometimes happen to me too.
1. Check if it's running in the background (alt, ctrl, delete and check through the list)
If that doesn't work,
2. shut down the computer (not restart, actually shut down) wait about 2~5minutes. Then turn it back on.

This works for me most of the time
