The game fire emblem
Who here has played fire emblem, heard of it or enjoys it?
I myself am a big fan of the series. The wii version is so hard compared to the other ones, the units you start out with are just plain sub par compared to your enemies. It's kinda sad when your level 4 main hero gets one hit by a normal attack by a level 3 bandit

Seth FTW.
@Sirenheart: Even normal is so much harder than the GBA version ;c
out of the three i've played i think i enjoy PoR the most, Sacred Stones in second even though the FE with Lyn/Eliwood is overall better and more difficult. having an area to just grind is what really appealed to me...though yes it does kill difficulty! :x
never picked up the later Wii game since i heard it was very unbalanced, though hearing something about Sothe playing a big part really appealed to me. spent a ton of time leveling him to 20 with a bunch of maxed stats (blossom!).
i love the fire emblem series.
i've played all of the games (english games that i can understand...)
the first one i played, the original with Lyn and stuff, was the best.
but i think my favorite one will be Sacred Stones. i got really attached to some of the characters. my favorite character was Selena Fluorspar, that mage knight, that we, unfortunately, had to kill to get passed the level. it was so hard for me because i knew her story and i liked her a lot. she did not deserve to die
and i hated the ending of the original game. with Nils the dragon and stuff. it was really sad for me.
Sacared Stones is my favorite because of the amount of new classes you can change to. unlike the other versions. i really like class-changing.
i want more fire emblem games to come out ;(
they remind me of Shining Force, which i used to play a long time ago.
Have you tried the game cube's/ the wii's?
I love Fire Emblem! I personally think Path Of Radiance for the Game Cube is the best one.
I've played FE 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and the DS re-make with Marth in it.
Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn is pretty tough at the start of the game. Here are some tips for the beginning of the game to get you going effectively:
Use Nolan to tank enemies and weaken them (he gains experience for this, but not much more for finishing off the enemies at the start of the game, so they are better put towards leveling up Micaiah and Edward).
Use Leonardo to attack enemies and weaken them but DO NOT give him the finishing blow.
Use Edward and Micaiah to finish off enemies and give them as much EXP as possible.
Use your higher defense characters to seal off gaps and block the path that will lead to your weaker characters.
Watch the range of your enemies' attacks carefully and be careful to not place one of your troops within too many enemies' range. This is extremely important if you not want to reply some of the tough levels 20 times.
If it takes 2 battles worth to kill an enemy (2-3 hits), you use the same range of attacks, and you do not need to kill him ASAP, let him come to you. Attacking an enemy and receiving a hit and then taking another hit before they die on the enemies' turn is very inefficient and will waste turns healing when you could be making waste of your enemies and reducing further damage (not only that, but finishing a stage quickly yields more bonus EXP!). Instead, let your enemy attack you and take damage, and then finish him off with 1 hit the next turn and not get hit by a counter attack.
I could go on and on, but there is too much.
I thought my Wii was broken until today, when I sort of fixed it, so I can play Radiant Dawn again. >
Woooo i got passed a few missions
didn't really like Sacred Stones. felt like EZ mode to me.
I'm quite fond of FE7 though.
FE6 is second, especially since I hated how you only got to use promoted Roy for like, 2-3 battles.
I've only got Radiant Dawn (the one on the Wii)
I think it's really good, but thats probably because it's the only FE I've ever played
GO SHINON WHATTA TANK
I love fire emblem, i remember playing them on the GBA so long ago. Played them so long that it had to be my most played GBA game xD
I played it until the cartridge broke
<33 Fire Emblem. Had it for GBA but got lost. I have no idea on how to get the ROM for the Wii but I have the remade Marth on for DS. Do you play on the computer or something? o_O
Chyeah i do.
I think by Seth he means the character in Sacred Stones.
I don't like Seth because since you get him as a Paladin he won't be as good as sombody you get as a Cavalier.
Amelia+Ross+Ewan are by far the best characters next to Myrhh.
Don't forget Lyon with his beastly (Unique?) spellbook.
@Chrozome: lol haha

@Chrozome: Lol whos ur fav char
Has to be guy, just has to be
@Chrozome: I know, I just meant the North American versions. I have the rom for FE 6, I just haven't beaten it yet.
Its fun huh? :o
I've beaten both of the gba versions several times, but only managed to beat Radiant Dawn once before the disk stopped working. But Fire Emblem is one of my all time favourite series.
Theres actually more than 2 GBA versions
@Chrozome: Really? sacred stones still,TODAY?
What chapter? i started over kuz i failed the enemy control glitch
Beat it dozens of times lol
Lol im playing the Shadow dragon one on my Ds XD
I love the games
I raised colm to 20 str during ch 3-7 and dominated all the enemies and with an armorslayer the ch. 8 general didn't stand a chance.
I hate colm, for some reason he always ends at 13 str @ level 20
So true, I'm still surprised when I get a perfect stat boost as well as raising a slow character to high speed or a thief to have max attack before assassin.
I loved when joshua hit cap before swordmaster, then as a swordmaster he just dominated everyone
You can manipulate RNG and I didn't like Forde, Kyle, or Franz as a character so I didn't use them not because their stats were bad.
Well, i know that. I guess i just prefer the randomness in someways.
@hwang1 RNG hates me mang.
@Itachifire they are also limited by RNG, cursed cursed RNG.
@above the red/green cavaliers had pretty awesome gains for me, at like level 10 they beat seth promoted at level 1.

Fire Emblem characters are really only limited by stat caps and 0% growths. I don't remember seth's caps but it wasn't that bad. Of course, it would take a while to get a perfect seth though.

I know, characters have a certain chance to get certain stats, and his aren't as good as the other cavaliers
I love fire emblem! It was my first RPG, and my nostalgia of it surpasses pokemon; I was borderline obsessive over it. I cherished all of them so greatly, and loved sacred stones because I could evol e units really quickly (tower of valni).
Seriously the last demon boss is so f***ing awesome!
Heck I'm trying to find the game again and play it a bit (no school cause of 6inches of snow)
Seth = godlike
You can rom it for free, and seth has horrible gains*..
Man i failed
@chromzome u mean micaha (or sumethin)? yeah she sucks use the stronger character (such as nolan, who is very good in endgame) to do most damage, and let micaha finish the enemy off. she gets better later in the game. And aran (the halberdier u'll meet later on if u havent gotten there yet) is also pretty good if you level him up.
That's what i was doing but the stupid bandit would always get me at the last second
Fire Emblem Sacred Stones was the BEST GAME EVER on GBA !
Final Fantasy 4 (or w/e) with Kain and Cecil was so fun, I can't killed demon version of Kain >:OOO
GBA FTW
i play GBA one. fire emblem sacred stones i still play it TODAY.
Who else still plays it today
I do
i played the one on the GBA,ds,gamecube and the wii. on the wii it very interesting
I like the Fire Emblem games.
Sacred stones was way too easy, but it was fun. The only ''challenging'' part was the last floor of the Lagdou Ruins with all the dragons, but even then if you have all the Bishops available, it's pretty easy. Since they don't move if you're not in their range, you can focus on the top ones in the first turn and kill them all. and for the others, just kill them with Purge.
I made the game super hard by using all non-promoted level 20 users or low leveled promoted units in the final chapter. It was intense.
@above HELL yes i just wish you could promote chad, he'd make the most beast assassin
Sword of Seals is the best one.
GBA Version > all
although some of them (PoR on GC) come awfully close
I like sword of seals
@above you should try sword of seals
The Ds one sucks so much.
Sacred Stones was the best one by far
Don't worry; Ike gets really OP later on.
I've played all the English release ones, but I haven't finished the DS one yet. The silly "3disalwaysbetterright" graphics make me feel disconnected from the characters. :<
I just got one hit KOed by the same bandit... :C
I've played all of them except for the one on the DS.
I tried the DS one, it was pretty lame imo.
The original Fire Emblem for GBA is my all time favorite RPG if not my favorite game of all time
I never played Sacred Stones or the DS and Wii versions. I did play Path of Radiance on Gamecube, it was pretty good.
I'm playing the wii verison on a rom as we speak, it's like the game cube version only better graphics.
