Urgent Nexon account alert Suspicious activity detected

Hey guys, I received this email that has the same title as the topic. I checked the email and it seems its from nexon? the email was verify at nexon.net. Also, the links seems legit and it redirects you to the nexon website the support link redirects you to support at nexon.net. Although I did not log in using my account.

The is a problem though, and here are the following:
1. The email which I received this is not the email that I am using from maple since I am using a completely different email.
2. The mail was sent thrice, and the other title is not the same as the other two.
3. It says in the email that my account was locked. However, I can login to the game using gamelauncher.exe fine.

Here is the email that was sent: http://imgur.com/fJ39X

Should I change my password? Not that I am worried about my account since my total amount of items that I own from all of my 9 characters would prolly be 1~2bil only.

Just log on and change it by going to site yourself and not using the redirect?

If I were you, being as paranoid as I am, I would NOT click the link, but I would go to the Nexon website manually. I would then change the password of the account linked to that email, then change the passwords of all my other accounts, too. And all the PICs, too. All while scanning my computer for viruses.

But if your account is fine, and you checked all the characters and nothing is out of place, I don't know how that email would have happened. It could be a glitch in Nexon's system for sensing "suspicious activity," or maybe someone really did access your account, but for whatever reason, took nothing.

Someone is definitely trying to get into your account and they must think that is the e-mail linked to your Maplestory account. Just ignore them and change all your passwords.

This E-mail means that some one has failed guessing your password 5 or more times I do believe.

keep in mind that nexon will only send you email thru the email linked directly to your nexon account. It is safe to change your pw, but be careful with random mails

Lol, you have either have a major keylogger or those emails are spam, I suggest you scan your computer with a good antivirus and change all your passwords ASAP

I suggest you to transfer all your items to a mule ASAP, because 90% you are going to get hacked. My friend got spammed by this and he got hacked afterwards.

I got exactly this same e-mail: look!

And I also got a notification from weird changes in a Yahoo account of mine, even though I haven't tried accessing it in a long time (I usually work with Gmail). :S

I don't know what is this. It doesn't really look like a phishing attempt, since the links seems legit, there are no weird attachments and the e-mail address that sent it seems to be the same one that sends regular verification e-mails from Nexon... But it's weird, because I got this e-mail in an e-mail account that is NOT linked to a Nexon account. And I didn't get any e-mails like this in any of the e-mail accounts that are actually linked to Nexon accounts.

So... Are these e-mails legit? Or is it that Nexon's finally been taken over by hackers and we're all doomed?

Clicking that link might have a key logger so be careful.

Hmm, I got one of those emails too. I don't have anything worth taking on that acc, though. Just change your info if you're that worried.

@ptythief

im sorry to hear that. the other title that i got was 'Reactivate your Nexon Account'. is it the same as yours?

@jCl3ric

nope! although i use this email (in the pic) when redeeming ultimate game cards in maple.

@kelvin111111

i really think it comes from nexon. verify at nexon.net and support.nexon.net is actually from nexon website.

@all

should i really change? or not? Thanks for the advice!

are you sure you never made a mule account with that email? If not then that is very weird. I'd say at the least get your good stuff off of there and store it on a mule acct.
