Mercedes

Low STR or Normal build

Since Mercedes would be using archer armors.. And I have a couple of archer equips that gives STR through potential, would it be better to use them instead of dumping AP to STR? So far, the STR equips that I have are the following (without the bonus base str that it gets from the equips):

+12 STR +12 DEX level 110 hat
+10 +5 STR level 100 Overall
+10 +5 STR level 100 Gloves (6 attack too)
+10 STR level 100 Shoes
I can get more str items from accessories as well

I don't mind getting low damage at low levels since I won't make this character my main (i love adventurer/explorer classes) but I still want to dish out more damage than normal builds for an unfunded person like me.

Normal build = I'll use not-so-good to OK items, unlike other "normal builds" with other characters that uses godly items.

So, going back at my actual question is that if it is better to use these equips to make a low-str build than to play a normal-build for Mercedes class.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

@knightcaster There's maybe 1% of maplers who can stand PvPing at all... Almost nobody is going to have the Battle Manual. You're mostly going to see people with Scissorhands which is 3 dex

OT: It's better to stay low-str.

You don't really even have to buy a Zak Helm. There will be a hot time that gives a hat that gives 10 to all stats. And, if you wear it on a third or fourth job Mercedes, you get the bonus of 5 to all stats, 5 attack, and 10 speed.

Just go for low to no strength. Even without real funding, nowadays it's so easy to get to a higher amount of secondary stat. Not sure if you have evolving rings but if you do, that's already an additional 14 points. Zakum helmet perhaps? You're at 30 already. If those equips require no strength to begin with, just do the math. I don't think you really need more than about 130 strength in total (not 100% correct).
