Calling all Catholics - Ethics assignment survey
Okay, reason why I need Catholics, and Catholics ONLY, is because this is a Religion assignment, and I need to do a forum thing for it, so here goes: (I apologise to the mods of Basilmarket beforehand, and all others that MAY get offended, but this is for an assignment cause)
The ethical issue is: ABORTION.
Catholics, can you please give your reason to this issue (as in if you support/don't support) and why.
Many thanks.

Your teacher told you to ask a forum, one of the statistically bias places to conduct a survey?
Good game.
I don't really get the problem. The baby doesn't even have any brain activity until they're a few weeks old. I mean, if it's just because the egg is fertilized, there really isn't much of a difference between a newly fertilized egg and just sperm and eggs separate. They're both "could be a baby some day"s. Also, I don't think you should just ask catholics, because then you will get extremely bias answers. I mean, if you get someone who disagrees with the bible, they're not catholic, they're just using "god" as their own political symbol to promote unrelated agendas. And btw, I'm not catholic, so if you want just disregard this (won't say anything else since I don't want to get banned)

Over what? An objective, single absolute answer which can be easily googled?
Catholics believe in the words of the bible which are absolute.
First of all, if you're targeting on Denomination's beliefs, a simple google search would have done.
Secondly, there is no need for a poll since the answers should all be the same - no.
Thirdly, this topic is completely pointless.

@clintyip: That's what I just said, but you didn't answer my question. Why not Christianity as a whole?
for some reason his assignments only focuses on Catholicism i guess because not all of the major denominations believe the same.
But Christianity is a religion and Catholicism is a denomination of Christianity..? So why not just Christians in general? Not another one of those guys who think "hurr Christians=/=Catholics hurr"
Christianity is the religion, but Catholics is a PART of Christianity, and the focus of my assignment is only on Catholicism.
well according to the catholic belief, all human life is sacred i mean even "debating" is a bit of a no-no due to "wasting the seed" even when it was retranslated it wasn't even about "debating"..anyway i digress. All life is sacred, even in a not-even-born-yet child believing the spirit if aborted, will go to purgatory. not even having a chance to get to heaven since i believe it hasn't been baptized yet. i believe.
@CrayonScribble: I need a response as well, so I felt that a poll is not necessary.
Shouldn't you have a poll for this?
