Urgent Maths help needed
Question is as follows:
A small buoy bobbing in the water moves in such a way that Simple Harmonic Motion is a good approximation to its vertical motion. The height of the buoy above the seabed varies from 1.4 to 1.8m and the period of the motion is 3.5secs. Take the buoy to be at its mean position at t=0.
How do I develop my formula for this?

This is like, Year 11 Maths, but I'm having trouble remembering
^Amplitude is average of (max -min)/2, B = 2pi/T, C is phase shift, D is (max + min)/2
When Y= a*sin(b(x-c))+d
@slobbyjoe: I thought Amplitude was highest + lowest all divided by 2 :S I'm so confused.
