Today was my first day
My first day as a senior... and it felt like any other day, everyone is content with school and loves their schedule, while I completely despise mine. I don't know I'm just stressing because of expense, college classes, applying for college, SATs, etc. It's just annoying because the school never prepares you instead they bombard you all with it in 12th grade. Idk we should've done some things in 11th grade. It's just hard...
How was everyone's first day? Whether it was today or not.
@clownified: Lol true, but I'm just going with the flow at this point. What state do you live in? In California I feel like it's pretty easy to get accepted into CSU's lol
Yea for someone outside the state, it's a higher chance because the CSUs and UCs want the out of state tuition money that's why. My chances aren't low though since the competition in my school is so bad that I stand out with a couple of other friends. Many schools if I apply will get FAFSA seeing my financial situation at the moment and I can probably go to college for free. I live near a school named CSUN and it's a school that I can easily go to for free or very little money. There are other safe schools I have but I want to move away and also not pay so much tuition and I can do that once I lock in my SAT score. Just one step at a time, where ever God takes me at this point.

Dude after all the college stuff it really is just a smooth ride from there, until then keep working hard for those applications! Do for the grad nite!
Why are you taking SAT's in 12th grade?
Why not? I took my 2nd one as a senior, did astronomically better, and most likely wouldn't have gotten accepted into the uni I'm attending atm without it, let alone a half-tuition scholarship.
If there's an opportunity to improve your chances at something, take that chance. Better late than never.
OT: Yes, 1st semester of your senior year in HS is stressful, but 2nd semester will all be worth is cause of senioritis!
Edit: But that doesn't mean get all Cs, still aim for As and Bs. Just don't be stressed to get all As.
What extra curriculars are you doing or have done ;o
also - are community service hours as important as they seem?
@elleee I mean jeez relax, once I get my schedule fixed things should ease up, also basketball season I mean things are looking great. It's just college apps and certain expenses that make me scared for my family. Idk I don't want to be a financial burden. I applied to so many places I mean SO MANY! but no luck. I'm waiting for many of the alumni from my school to quit their jobs since they're moving to college so I can swoop in somewhere and hopefully they can refer me.
I started my senior year and its really fun lol sux 4 u
Why are you taking SAT's in 12th grade?
I took it junior year but now I'm improving my score, so I take it once in October and December just to hit my 1900~2200 mark. I wont need it so high because my grades speak for themselves along with my extracurricular.
Don't worry, it only gets more stressful for you and easier for everyone else. Somehow.
It gets so much better after you get accepted to college
Assuming you just don't give a s.. about doing well on spring exams (like APs)
Enjoy yourself. Skip school more than a day parents permitting.
Why are you taking SAT's in 12th grade?
all 4years felt the same to me, 6classes, boring teachers, boring agenda
I start September 1st but I'M SO EXCITED TO GET THIS YEAR OVER WITH.
Everyone always made it sound like senior year was super fun and laid back. It was the complete opposite for me (at least first semester). College apps are killers. Senior year surprisingly gave me the most stress out of all my HS years, even though I took a lot of weighted classes junior year. There's also the sad part of having to leave your friends when you go to college...
There are lots of fun moments of senior year though, so just wait for them
Well that's because you met some slackers. I'll be a Senior in college this fall. Honestly I wouldn't be as swamped if I did more in my earlier years. Oh well. Class-wise it won't be too bad for me. Just a lot of requirements I have to get done for grad school.

is he me
I remember my first day being pretty great, my schedule was a lot looser than it had been in previous years and I had more time to spend with my friends.
Sophomore year, liking my teachers, taking 2 ap classes( which will be my first time raking ap classes), and still getting used to their procedures and what not. But hey, at least im not getting lost on campus anymore and then getting 15 minutes late to class.
my first day is next week
