What is a rhetorical analysis essay?
I read the book etched in sand which is amazing by the way in like a few days, but now for my AP Lang class I have to write this essay on it and I don't really know how to get into it. You know like make an introduction that really gives my essay an edge and then I just literally analyze the book in my body paragraphs. I just need help with my intro and thesis I have no idea what to write about. The prompt doesn't specify a certain thing to focus on like in my prompts I've heard about for this kind of essay. It's just in general.

Pick 3 rhetorical devices and talk about how they improved the work?
Thesis could be like, "X was really good because of the use of RD1, RD2, and RD3."
