Can anybody explain Pdr?

Like the title says, can anybody explain PDR to me? I don't know much about it, except that I have a total of 70% (15% from Engaw, 25% from MMS, 30% from Leafre Set). And also, is the 30% from the Leafre Set working? I heard that it wasn't.

Sweet! Now if only my Engaw had 15% ignore, 30% boss, and 6% att
So if a monster had lets say 50% PDR, and I'd normally hit 50,000 then with my 70% PDR, would I still hit 50,000? Or would i hit 50,000 * 1.2 since I'm ignoring his 50% and still tacking on an extra 20%?

It ignores 70% of the pdr the monster has, so 70% of 50%, which would be 35% ignored.
So if I hit 50,000 clean, with my 70% rate I'd end up doing 50k * .85 = 42.5k

Alright that makes sense. Thanks for the help everyone!

0.7 x 0.5 = 0.35

0.65 x 50,000 = 32,500

amirite?

PDR is Physical Defense Rate. Most monsters (If not all) have this system to reduce the damage dealt to them.
Say you do 1000 clean damage, and the monster have 30% PDR, your damage will become 700.
Usually when it's on Monster Book/Skills/Weapons it means that it ignores that PDR.
Let's say you have 20% PDR on a weapon, it means 20% of the enemy's PDR will be ignored when you attack it.
Now I'm not sure let's say the monster have 50% PDR it will be just regular 20% (50-20=30) or 20% of the PDR (50*-(50*.2(Which is 10))=40).
To your second question, I'm unsure, sorry.
Monsters have a set % Defense Rate (PDR) which is normally reduced from your damage output (so if your output is 50,000 without any PDRate items, that would be reduced to 25,000 on a 50% PDR monster). PDRate items reduce the amount that is reduced. And last I checked, the Leafre set's still not workin'. xD
You ignore some monster defence by a certain percent.
