New Computer no maple?
Hey guys so I just purchased a new laptop for college and I just assumed that it would play Maple flawlessly. It's an HP Spectre x360, with an i7 processor.
Here's the link to the computer with it's specs: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-spectre-x360-2-in-1-13-3-touch-screen-laptop-intel-core-i7-8gb-memory-256gb-solid-state-drive-natural-silver-black/3288071.p?id=1219575816027&skuId=3288071
Everytime I boot up Maple, I crash within 5min- without even attacking. I am completely lost as what to do. Any tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I sure hope that this computer can run Maple, it's the only game I want it to run.

Your laptop seems like overkill for a laptop.
cant be a hardware issue. I used to play on a scrub dual core 3gb ram integrated graphics rig and ran the game just fine. I had a similar issue as you did and it was bad / inconsistent connection.
its an antivirus, firewall or connection issue
It's cute how everyone responds right away with a clear cut 100% fix suggestion and yet they're all different from each other. At least everyone wants to try to help.
Try running as an admin

Consider using another program to replace Webroot (I use Avast and it doesn't affect how I play Maplestory).
Instead of changing my antivirus program, I switched browsers from Internet Explorer to Firefox, and now it runs perfectly! Interesting how the web browser effects in-game playability.
Thanks for the information though on webroot

I'd try what ILoveKaiser said it's most likely your internet, try plugging the Ethernet cable into your laptop see if the same problem occurs.
You didn't install Kaspersky Security with your laptop did you? That would probably be my first bet as to what may be causing unexpected crashes or closures. Also, you should be fine running on your integrated graphics device as Maplestory doesn't really ask for too much out of a discrete graphics card.
No I didn't install that security, I went wit Webroot (supplied with it).
I still cant figure out why it wont work though? It worked perfectly fine on my older 2009 hp laptop with the same internet connection.
if you have mcaffe installed, remove it. Otherwise, it is probably the connection.
i think this should be fine to run a game like maple. You might get random fps drops though but i dont think it's a problem. I run everything perfectly normal with freeze lags every now and then on a dell 2007 laptop, i only use it as a hs/kishin mule since its not 100% reliable lol
Lol, it's nothing to do with your spec but your connection.
I would recommend using a free VPN, I know that hotspot works but not cyberghost. (regarding maple)
Can you elaborate a tad-bit please? So my computer can run it perfectly fine, but I need to improve my connection only?
What do you mean by free VPN
ur problem is the graphics card the integrated intel ones are crap
