Making a return

Hi all!

I am making a return to MS with some college friends after a long hiatus. Last time I was playing, LHC was still a hot spot for 4th job training, and I think they had come out with a warrior buff update a few months before I quit, or something. I vaguely remember starting a Kaiser, and there was some update for Cygnus Knights.

Anywho, I'm switching from Scania to Windia (whoop whoop!) to start anew, and was wondering if anyone could provide a tl;dr for what's happened since I quit, and what classes are good to play. My main characters were a DrK and a Hero, and also a Jett and Mercedes - all 4th job. Had started a Kaiser and a Phantom.

Tl;dr:
- I quit when LHC was still good training. What's happened since?
- What class should I play? (I've played and enjoyed DrK, Hero, Jett, Mercedes.)

Thanks all!

@Comradery: F/Ps are underrated
I hear they're quite good however
Pallies are apparently good too but you'll need to put more effort and money into it to have the same effect however thye have some very useful skills and Defense Ignoere
@Comradery:
Most OP? Probably Xenon and Zero.
Best Explorer: Can't single it down to one specific job but Basically F/P, Hero, Drk, Shads, NL and maybe BM & Marksman are good, DBs are good too
None of the explorer Pirates on are par to the above classes imo sadly. All these above do pretty well if you put effort into funding them.
Best Warrior: Drks in particular are good now, Zeros has the highest % DPR I believe. Kaisers and Heroes are also pretty good.
Most fun to play? I guess I just enjoy playing my sair LOL
I found Zero fun until the dungeon grinding ridiculously boring but comboing skills together increases the "fun" factor I guess
Oh wow FP huh.

How are pallies? I've never played them
I'll probably try xenon and zero too
Evolution System until 140 then DIPQ
both are solo-able PQs although I hate Evolution System with a passion
DIPQ is great if you can solo if not going with a party isn't too bad
Lots of Revamps to Explorers you didn't miss much except for the earlier patches of RED
So what's the most OP character?
Best explorer?
Best warrior?
Most fun to play?

In your opinion, of course.

Yeah, I know that.. It just sounds weird when people say they quit, but then make a reference to a nerf that they shouldn't know about o -o;
I get that some people could have logged on and found out, but there are people that are all like "Ima redownload ms o: how's LHC?"
Ooh yeah I logged on a few months ago maybe and checked around and found that LHC was nerfed haha. Good point, though.

Thanks guys! I'll look through the updates notes, especially the RED one.
Not that I'm accusing you of anything, but why do people always mention LHC "still being good" before they quit? o3o..
I assume he means that LHC was still a decent training spot, as opposed to the non-party play area we have today.

OT: Sift through the patch notes. They'll provide a better recap than anyone here.

I'm back too, and in Windia as well. Add my luminous!

Apparently, most classes were revamped in the RED update, explorers changing a lot. Cygnus knights(Dawn Warrior, Wind Archer, Thunder Breaker) can now reach level 250. yep, level cap is 250.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Lots of changes, more high level equips, the usual. Masteria is back to it's pre-big bang form.

Can't say what class you should play, but Kaiser should suit you well.
