I'm not sure where everyone's getting the "cosmetic item disappears" bogus from. This isn't Vindictus; the Fusion anvil doesn't eat up the cosmetic item. The cosmetic item remains entirely unaffected.
Source: Personal experience, which none of the disbelievers seem to have.

The wording on the items after being anviled is off. No items are "fused".
It would just make HIS Empress claw look like YOUR transparent claw. He would then be free to give you back your transparent claw.

Ive used anvils a few times. I "fused" my emp gloves and my friends SCG. I also "fused" my rac mask with my friends specs. No items were lost in all of the "fusions."

@lilninja45 it just makes one weapon look like the other one. Nothing will happen to the trans claw. I can just give it back
