Roughly two and a half weeks ago, disaster struck my life. My laptop had already been dysfunctional for a week or two when my mom somehow left her Macbook Air in a public restroom at a sports complex in a relatively far away city we traveled to for my game that weekend. All of the wild Breaks that are appearing keep breaking out of the Pokeballs I throw at them (that is to say, I can't catch 'em). I was left with only my decade old Toshiba that's missing keys and overheats just by being on, and a desktop from my mom's work that her company didn't retrieve... which was stored in an unknown location within the house. Such resulted in my being unable to Basil for that week.
Come the following week, I had a history paper due (...though I ended up not writing it at all and using my free dropped assignment on it), a Japanese quiz, a statistics midterm (...which will be getting replaced by my extra credit, as it is my lowest scored "event", and two games over the weekend. Needless to say, had no time for Basil that week. That weekend, which was this past weekend, the desktop was found, so I spent time setting it up and updating it. My browsing speed improved significantly.
Monday and Tuesday I had practice. Wednesday, I played Graces f all day. Yesterday was Thanksgiving, although I spent at least half of it refreshing the Amazon mobile app. Today it's Fri-... let's not go there.
Now that I'm back, you can expect a flurry of necroposting and for the hijinks and shenan(e)gans to further escalate. I've also got several drawings I look forward to posting, and even more planned. For now, though I'll be taking advantage of the four day weekend to try and catch up on my sleep.
Thank giving it's Friday. (Well damn, I went there anyway.)

I do like birds! Well, animals in general, but fond of birds although I don't have any as a pet. There's a lot of bunnies that hop around my University campus, and for the past few weeks I've seen the same hawk everyday in the parking lot. Flew in front of me this past Monday- `twas pretty cool.
Ah, that's pretty crazy! I used to live in Illinois, so no real fascinating wildlife going on there...but within the past year I've moved to Vancouver Island and the animals here are quite diverse- playing in tide pools in the summer amused me quite a bit ^^ That, and there's been cougars captured in my city within the past few months :o

In slightly more seriousness, I do see that, but it was mostly intentional on my part. I'm indifferent regarding perceived gender constructs secure enough in my gender and orientation, confident and shameless enough to wear a pink sleeveless hoodie if I feel like it, regardless of what other people may think.
The reason I said "mostly intentional" is that, having grown up with the majority of my cousins in this generation of my family being female, I've gradually developed the ability to sense fashion, but just because I can sense it, doesn't mean I care. I really don't think it compliments my skin color, but frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.
I like think I'm fairly well in touch with both of my "feminine and masculine sides."

I think I might said this already, though I'm not sure if I said it here, but I have way more clothes than I can wear before doing laundry for the month. It's all those hand-me-downs. Not that I don't appreciate them, but
So, if anyone's ever going to buy me a gift, please don't buy me clothes (unless they're a soccer jersey, expensive, depict/reference something I strongly favor or just that awesome looking).
O'course, yesterday, I actually did buy a couple of articles of clothing: boxers (which I did need more of), khakis/cargoes (because I had no long pants other than jeans and a white pair; I hate wearing the former, while I don't want to use the latter frequently because it'll get really dirty), and a hot pink sleeveless hoodie that was on sale for $5. Wearing it actually makes me really happy, although I'm not sure if it compliments my skin color. Maybe I'm just accustomed to only seeing that shade of pink on white blond girls.
