Buccaneer

Do you consider me a quotBandwagonerquot?

I made a brawler about a month ago, and so far it has been the only class that doesn't bore me in fourth job. Now truthfully my main reason for making a new Bucc was in anticipation of the revamp, which I think will makes Buccs much funner to play. Now its not like I only made one because of the revamp. I made a brawler the first week pirates came out, and I really enjoyed it for a while but eventually I quit, because of how tedious training became. Buccs have always been in my opinion the funnest class to play, I just never had the motivation to train one until I heard about the revamp. So my question to you Buccs that take so much pride (for some reason) in your class, do you still consider me a vile despicable bandwagoner to this class?

There's a slight difference between hating a bandwagon and hating the effects of a bandwagon. I hate the latter.

I have NO problem with people making Buccaneers post-Revamp, and I don't think most Buccs do either. What I am going to dislike is an inflation on equipment/skillbooks(I'm already have a pain trying to find Snatch 30 to pass), but that's atleast logical; more people playing=less supplies/more expensive supplies. It's obviously going to bring some less favored people as well; idiots, KS'ing jerks, those people. The people that bandwagon every new class/revamped class that is the strongest and act like jerks. It's happened with every Revamp. I will be hating that. Then there's the people who only care about damage and who make the "best" class every time a revamp comes and who thinks everyone that plays that class needs to have good damage/care about getting good damage or they suck.

Now I admit, not every bandwagoner is going to be like that, and I welcome those with a respectful attitude. If you come here to enjoy the class, don't act like an idiot and have atleast some common sense, I don't care that you make a Bucc. I welcome it. It's simply the fact that with a bandwagon there are ALWAYS bad eggs that spoil the bunch.

So, in short, I don't think many Buccs hate that more people are making/will make their class. We just hate how we'll get more bad eggs than we had and how our gear/books will be more expensive when some of us may have made a Bucc due to the low cost of that(I know that was a HUGE reason I made a Bucc when I came back from Maple; they weren't relied on for DPS, party skill didn't rely on your damage, cheap equipment/books... Meant I didn't need many funds). It's not the bandwagon I hate, just the negative effects it will bring that I dislike.
doesnt matter if you bandwagon. which your not. if your having fun then no one can judge ^.^
I'm definitely having fun, this is the only class that i've played that I haven't gotten bored training in 4th job. I plan to continue playing only my Bucc, besides new class releases, until I eventually achieve my first and last level 200 character.

@Above I mostly see Buccs talking about how much the revamp will cause their class to be bandwagoned and how much they hate it, so I just wanted to get some opinions, also thank you kind sir for welcoming me to this very entertaining class.
On a completely random note, how long did it take you to find an Empress Cape recipe? Or did you buy one?
Bought it off of a level 200 Bucc for 200 mil, who then added me to his guild, pretty nice guy. I still have yet to see another cape or recipe in the fm.

I used the word despicable mainly to mock those people that get so upset and start angrily calling people bandwagoners whenever more people start to play their classes. Also honestly, i've never played classes based on their dpm. Most of my characters that i've made are either middle to low on the dpm chart. Also I've already invested so much into my Bucc, that more than likely it will be the only class i'll play from now on.

No.

It doesn't really matter since most people on this forum don't know what bangwagon means. Making a class because of a revamp isn't bandwagoning. Making a class for damage also isn't bandwagoning.
