It would be the best option as your first character though. It's a completely funded lv180 with little effort. You get a nice link skill, character card, and attack bonus for all your characters in the future. You will even make around 10m off doing the quest line up to lv180. You will also get a massive amount of RED coins and a fantastic 15% critical rate ring to use on another character.
Your next best options are Luminous, Demon Avenger, and possibly Kanna.

still, consider making one for the story and experience before they're locked again
the current event also gives you around 500 red coins, which you can use to get some revolution equips to help you get started with whatever class you choose to main
Evan, Hayato, or F/P if you want fun. If you want to be strong easily to get mesos to fund another character, Zero and DK are the best route to go.
i would go with nightlord since they got revamped and pretty fun IMO
