Region looooockkkkkkk Urrgggg
So long time ago a friend of my parents' from Korea gave me (or my bro, eh) a Pokemon X. At the time, we did not had a 3DS to play the game, but everything changed when the fire nati- Just kidding, just kidding. Anyways, my bro got a 3ds recently and we tried to play the Pokemon X on it. I don't think I need to finish the story. Korean 3DS game card on a North American 3DS does not work, laaaaame.
We didn't knew about the region lock thing. To find out about it and unable to play the game is a huge disappointment. I was looking foward to trade a doodle for a cyndaquil. (Bro and my favorite pokemon.) Now we don't know what to do with it. Is it possible to trade the Korean game for a NA fame in EB games or in other game shop? OR what should I do with it?

EDIT: @mmorpg kinda beat me to it, haha
It is possible to play the game through an exploit. The process is slightly cumbersome though, and basically requires internet everytime you want to start the game. If you really want to play it now, it's an option I guess.
You can do region free if you're willing to mess with homebrew. It's perfectly legal, too.
Go buy a Korean 3ds? I bought a Japanese model 3ds for Japanese games and its almost the same price as a NA model.
-whispers- Not everyone can throw around a few hundred dollars like that.
What do you mean disconnected? I think they knocked out the online servers of poke games except for X/Y and OR/AS. My friend learned this the hard way after buying White 2.
Ah, I meant to say disable. //Sighs the DS wifi ended two years ago.
@Zlyphor: Sorry about that. Didn't saw your post 'til now. I'm not good at selling things, but urg. If I get too bored with smash I'll think about it xD Thanks!
Exactly what you said. We'll try and trade it or trade it with some old games to get the X/Y. Too broke to cough up 40 more bucks, ahahaha yikes. Guess, we have to stick to smash bro for a long while.
I also found out that the DS wifi thing is disconnected. Urrrrgggg, was hoping to start a new game in Diamond with a cyndaquil. Cyndaquil, where are thou?
Your only choice really is to sell it to someone on eBay or the sort and buy a North American copy of the game.
It sucks that Nintendo does region lock but you really don't have any other options.
So you are saying your bro had just a Korean copy of X, with no ability to use it? This is until he got a NA 3ds and found the hard way?
Well not sure if you can trade it but your bro may just have to buy a NA copy of X or Y just to play on NA 3ds. 40 bucks give or take.
