15% Pdr only adding 2% visually?
This might be a stupid question but how come my emblem with "Ignores 15% of the enemy's DEF when attacking" only adds 2% to my Ignore DEF stat? I usually just go with Boss% so I've never really messed around with PDR. If it for some reason adds less would a neb add the exact amount it says?
This kinda decides what one I get since I'm at 85% now, I cubed just for that 15% and it only went up 2% so now idk what to do. What would 21% Ignore DEF bring me up to?
If it's only gonna be like 3% more I might as well just get a full 25% boss damage right?

85% is fine, I'm at 91% without counting threaten and that's generally considered overkill.
[quote=KyuuKyuuMoar]Gee, I didn't know that. I thought 15% PDR was more helpful than 30% PDR!

it's better to have one line of 30% PDR than 2 of 15% on your weapon
[quote=ireful]having large sources of pdr, like 40% or 30%, will increase your overall pdr the most

Ohh well that explains a lot, thank you
looks like the sources you gave me are about everything. that gives you almost exactly 85% pdr. If you were still curious about how much 21% pdr would affect that it would only bring your pdr up to 88%. The 120% you saw was an additive pdr that the tooltip used to display. It has been fixed and now correctly shows your multiplicative pdr, which cannot exceed 100%.
Oh man I assumed you could use those nebs since you could get PDR on it..how in the world do people get up to 120% while still keeping like 300%boss then? That's absolutely insane o.o
My PDR sources are 30% gollux set, 10/5/5% faf stuff, 30% codex, 15% emblem, 20% lumi link, 8% Kanna Card, and 40% from arcane pitch
You have 85% multiplicative PDR. That's pretty godly already. You'll be hitting good damage even on chaos vellum. I suggest you strive to cube %atk instead as it will give you much greater benefits.
pdr = (1 - (1 - pdr1)(1 - pdr2)(1 - pdr3) * ... * (1 - pdr n)). It's multiplicative, so to summarize, having large sources of pdr, like 40% or 30%, will increase your overall pdr the most, whereas the smaller amounts do not have as great of an impact, especially if your pdr is already relatively high. I don't know all of your pdr sources, so I can't calculate it for you. You can try to figure it out yourself though! Although if you're at 85% that's already a decent amount and you're better off with 25% boss. More wouldn't be necessary unless you cvellum often.
edit: didn't see the emblem part. You can't put a pdr neb or boss neb on an emblem ):
It's multiplicative, not additive.
15% of your PDR not a total 15% more added.
couple things:
1) you cannot put a boss neb on to an emblem nor can you cube for boss % on it
2) it's a multiplicative system, not additive which is why your pdr simply isn't +15%
