Battle Mage element
So I heard the Ele weapon boost was coming back
Only problem, is that I have a fire elestaff...and there will be a 5% damage reduction for conflicting elements
So is a battlemage a lightning? or a fire? or nothing?
and then, would fire conflict with lightning? If anyone could answer, I'd be very thankful~

The only "Dark-Element" skills Battle mages have is Dark Shock and Dark Genesis. If anything, the damage on these skills would be reduced. All of our other skills are non-elemental, which means the wrong element penalty does not apply to us.
If BaMs get a 5% damage reduction, it won't really be that noticeable. BaMs already get 30% Extra Damage from Battle Mastery and 20% more from ADA (10 if you are still 3rd job).
Besides, the speed makes up for the reduction.

No dark shock is not affected all battle mage skills are dark
And since dark isnt in the category of ice,lightning, fire, poison it might not be affected

Phew, I thought I'd have auto 5% down
Do you happen to know if dark shock would be affected? It seems like a lightning skill
