Im about to be DDoSed
Hi guys. This guy from another state continues to threaten to DDoS me. We skyped, unfortunatley, and now he has my IP.
He knows what he's doing and now I don't know what to do!
How can i defend myself, please help o.o

IP blocker? :o
DDoS attacks use up your bandwidth. As a result, your internet bill will probably go over if you don't have unlimited bandwidth.
call da popo and watch the guy run like "fast animals, slow children" or "DAMN NATURE! YOU SCARY!"
what threats is he sending you?
if they are major, pick up your phone and dial 911

@countlof: i doubt you have an estatic IP, so there's a way...
go to http://www.whatismyip.com/ and write your IP, then unplug your modem from the power cord for a couple minutes then plug in and go to that address again, if it says you got a different IP then you're safe, if not: unplug for a longer period.
a DoS attack isn't really harmful, they will just flood you with requests trying to make you lag, it's not like you'll get hacked or something either

DC your router or unplug the ethernet cable for 5 minutes.
You're now given a new IP Addrees.

That's probably an empty threat. Although, if you have his name, you could actually report him to the police. DDoSing is illegal.
