Accused of fraudulent activity when trying to purchase Nx
WOOHOO after all these years I have finally been unblocked. All it took was a simple e-mail to them instead of a ticket.
Whenever I try and purchase NX using PayPal or debit/credit card I get the following error message:
"ERROR
Due to suspicious activity, you have been restricted from charging NX via this payment method. You can still use alternate payment methods such as PayByCash or prepaid cards. Please contact Customer Support if you need more information.(Code:51)"
I have been getting this error for years so I contacted customer support asking why I have been restricted and I got the following reply:
"Thank you for contacting Nexon America Customer Support. I understand you're having trouble while trying to use several of our payment features.
After carefully reviewing your account it was determined that this account is no longer able to use PayPal, the Credit Card feature or the offers due to one or more of the following reasons:
-The account is tied to one or more separate accounts which have been involved in suspicious or fraudulent activities.
-The account is tied to one or more separate accounts which have been suspected of being involved in suspicious or fraudulent activities.
-The account is tied to one or more separate accounts which have been involved in activities that violate our Terms of Use.
For security reasons we are not able to give specific information surrounding the details of this account's restrictions. At this time this account will not be reinstated to purchase NX using our online options."
So they are saying my account has either been involved or suspected of being involved in suspicious or fraudulent activities or I have violated the terms of use. None of these are true so I'm quite mad that I'm being accused of doing such a thing, and they won't listen to me when I tell them I haven't. It's pretty annoying since I am from the UK so can't go out and buy Nexon game cards or Karma Koins. Oh and, this error message isn't a country issue as my boyfriend can purchase NX from his account using PayPal just fine.
Does anyone receive the same error message or had their "ban" lifted?

Are you talking about my 30 day ban? Hopefully Nexon will sort out the false bans ASAP.

Alright, thank you. They just won't listen when I try and tell them I haven't done anything fraudulent; I don't get why they can't just review my account instead of saying I have doing something wrong each time I submit a ticket. ;s
The system made a mistake when ID'ing your account during a transaction in the past and marked your account as such from there on out. I had a similar problem when I used to credit my NX account directly with my credit card - after a while they longer accepted it, so I went with paypal.

im in the same situation as you and im also from the uk lol, but i just use pcgamesupply super legit (atleast in my experience)
