Obviously I have no idea about how they are doing this but if accepting the buddy request doesn't matter, why did they bother requesting me in the first place? (I'm just interested in how they are doing this.)

@BowlCut: Well clearly you seem (in your opinion) to know more than me (not trying to say I know more than you either or everything), so why don't you offer a possible solution, O smart one. Plus please try and contribute to the post next time instead of trying to bash another poster who is just trying to help. What @lycanthropod said makes sense and I was not aware of that UID acquisition method and it's usage to directly d/c a specific character.

Yeah, I had thought about it but then again, you may just risk your whole account for 1 single bored hacker. I think that it is better to just wait til he finds a new target. This is what I plan on doing, god knows when though.

Why should I have to download something to stop me getting disconnected from a game? If you're genuinely trying to help then thanks but I'm not resorting to doing that.

If it's the blue chat then they buddied you to only receive your "UID". A UID is assigned to every character when made, and it's used for interacting with other players in game, like when you change maps, or talk to them in buddy, guild, alliance, or expedition chat. Once they have your UID, deleting them off BL wont fix the problem.

So more or less you are kinda screwed till Nexon does something. But this DC has been around for years.. My only suggestion is if you know the ign that is dcing you, then maybe blacklisting it may stop it temporally, but all they need to do is just switch characters and spam it again since they already acquired your UID previously.

Ok so this isn't too effective but it will get the job done, what you will need to do is login and soon as you login pull out your Ethernet cord, u should load into the game after a few seconds and be able to see the spam, quickly get the ign and blacklist it, then replug your Ethernet cord back in and wait for it to go responsive again.[/quote]

The first 3 times I d/ced I didn't see any pop-up, apart from the one showing the user logging in and out. And the times after that I can't even get onto the game properly. (Just a black screen before it closes.)
I don't think it's expedition chat as I was already in an expedition with 2 other friends talking and the suspected d/c hacker was not spamming anything in there. I definitely didn't see any chat messages from this person.

I still haven't tried the ethernet thing, reminds me of the old orbis pq glitch haha. I'll give that a go in a bit. Thanks for your help.

I'm currently in the process of submitting a ticket and posting on the new "stuck characters" section on maple forums, even though my problem is not exactly that, I hope that maybe they can have a look for me.

Honestly, I think that it is too late. Even if you get online and remove all your buddies, the hack will continue. Update us please if it stops!

@NeoBowmaster @Mooshelle Been trying to log in and delete the character from my BL but I can't even load maple past the black screen after entering my PIC. Thanks though, I'll keep trying.

There is a trick i heard somewhere about disconnecting your internet right just when you are logging in your character and delete the guy off BL or quit exped/whatever, cancel all the chats and the neccesary stuff, you might google it or try on nexon official forums if you want more detailed info

I'm not sure if I managed to remove him from my buddy list before I d/ced the 3rd time as I was in the process of doing so but again, the game just froze. Now I can't even get past a black screen after entering my PIC. I think it was more to do with the buddy list rather than the expedition chat as he kept logging in and out quite fast. The game just doesn't respond and eventually closes so I'm not sure if he's spamming anything as I log in as I can't see anything.

@ToxicAsian I've had a friend try for me and he can't log onto my bishop either.

Both these d/c hacks have been here for more than the past 3 months. Seriously, Nexon really needs to address issues like this as soon as possible.
Since you accepted the buddy request, I would say quickly log into your bishop and go to the buddy list and delete it, computers don't always d/c right away sometime they tend to have a delay before it d/c's. (You would try to take advantage of that delay and get him off your buddy list and it should fix the d/c for the most part.)

@itay07734 The exped d/c hack is different in the fact that it will d/c you regardless if you responding to the exped request by sending multiple exped requests really fast from multiple chars using a program. Best fix for this is to ignore all requests and it should fix that d/c if you are getting d/c'd with the exped d/c hack. (I'd think)

Edit: @CrazyHolz Remember to ignore buddy (And party,exped, etc., if possible) requests after you delete him so they cant d/c you anymore. (Using those methods at least)

Try logging on from a different computer or get a trusted friend to try it for you.
