National Pokedex and stuff
So guys, I've decided to restart my Heartgold for the hell of it and I happen to stumble into making a team before I enter the league.
So I've been roaming around, with my level 11 Chikorita lol and I find a Zubat! I want a Crobat, so I'm not sure if I need the national pokedex before I can actually evolve a golbat x:
So my question is, do I need the national pokedex before I can get a Crobat, or will I be able to get it anyway because it's in gen 2?

also, i don't think you need the national dex because it's just 2 generations, aren't both the pokedex just 1?
If crobat's in the same gen as the game, why are you even worried at all lol
But yeah it'd evolve even if it was a different gen
...but crobat is second gen?
