It depends as for damage? depends how funded you are like any other class but for some people we are useful for Abyss because we can use unlimited resurrection and advanced blessing. Then of course all the other buffs and healing we have if people need it but generally people who aren't use to bossing usually need healing or are to cheap to buy potions.

Best way to survive czak esp if you solo it is keeping a mutant snail up, and create a cycle for your buffs. Meaning using Infinity and Shell separately, Infinity when up works like a mutant snail, so essentially it's like you have both out so that when you're seduced you'll almost certainly survive c/zak's pulses without the need to waste hero's will. When Infinity is on cd you can spam shell which gives like 1min of protection from seduce.

Shell also gives a nice temporary 100% knockback resist inaddition to its shield to increase your average dpm by a nice %.

I hope they fix bishops res, I feel like we're being spoiled and that one of the few reasons some people mule the class is to res >> When res gets fixed, a lot of people mostly heavy dps classes like evans and lumis are going to realize just how bad they are without a bishop.

Actually, if u have invincible, it absorbs enough damage to not make most attacks one shot.

Anyways, bishops are useful for
-spammable ressurect
-heal (u need it especially at vellums lightning and pierre tornado DoT
-dispel (queen darkness)
-shell (not particularly useful; can guard some kinds of attacks)
-all regular buffs (minus hs until hypers come)

Pretty much what Jon said. Bishop res doesn't seem to count towards death count.

for a bad party that tends to die way too much, sure. otherwise, it would've been better to get another attacker (unless the Bishop's funded enough to be an attacker anyways).

hmm...haven't really Abyss'ed for like a week but before that, my I/L had no problems with the "Instant deaths" ._.

You can ress someone after the first death and if they don't [b]respond[/b] and continue to let you resurrect them, then the death count does not penalize you. For example, say you died the first time, you're left with 4 lives, but you keep dying, but you continue to let the bishop revive you. This will let you indefinitely stay at 4 lives left.

From my experience, Any mage with magic guard (besides Lumi) Have a very hard time surviving the boss fight. No idea why that is, but even the basic attacks that bosses do, one shot the mages with magic guard (besides lumi). Aside from being one hit killed from most attacks, I would say they are useful, for the buffs of course XD. Also while they have unlimited res in root, you can not res someone who had died 5 times (correct me if i'm wrong on this one).

Yeah dispell + Heal + Hs = Benefits for all members...

as a bishop i can say they are pretty usefull for the unlimited ress, dispell at queen, heal and attack buffs
it's recommended to have a bish if you have trouble surviving sometimes
