In the eyes of a new player, the game currently sends a negative political message. It makes it appear as if Nexon rejects marriage equality laws.

"Meaningful?" This is a forum, which is based on discussion. It's not always about winning a debate, the "meaningfulness" comes from the debate itself.
For the other thread, I disagree completely with the moderator who closed it, no offense. For something that was legalized nationwide today, locking a thread on a related subject is a complete slap in the face. Just because something is prone to flame wars, doesn't mean it should be stopped beforehand. Isn't that the whole point of the legalization?
If we were to stop discussions because there were haters in the world, the legalization of same sex marriage wouldn't even occur in the first place.

The best part about these threads is that I'm able to pick out all the bigots and who to not interact with in the future.

I mean there's nothing worth writing home about in terms of marriage in MapleStory. No one really does Amoria PQ, there aren't any stat bonuses, it's just a weird thing that still exists in the game for no reason.
