havent played since Red
I haven't played since the red patch, what is new that I need to know? My account was also hacked with some really good cubed stuff, is there an easy way to get that back yet or no?

Congratulations. You had quit Maplestory for a while. Now I strongly suggest you leave before it's too late.

Don't expect everyone to be this friendly in game. You jusy have to find the right people.
it's mainly why I run solo in my dead guild thinking about life half the time. The other half is bossing.
@Flya I heard black and yellow is coming out too.

Welcome back. You've been gone for over a year but in the recent time that RED passed, +8 attack 50% scrolls were introduced. I'm sure if you played at this time, you'll remember that this was a huge boost from the regular +5 attack scrolls.
As of now, there are prime scrolls with give +10 all stats to armors and accessories and +10 attack +3 all stats to weapons.
These prime scrolls are expensive as heck but are very desired for the most pro players of the game.
For regular and causal players, we have a new system of scrolling which is quite inexpensive and can yield great results. Spell traces are cheap and can be bought from the freemarket. They give the option of having 70% success rate and giving +5 attack or if you want to be pro, use the spell traces to select the 15% success rate option, which gives +9 attack per slot.
Also, there's starforce which recently came. Starforce allows you to star all your equips and gain huge increases for relatively free. YouTube some videos covering starforce or read the starforce patch notes to see more details.
Other things to note: Gollux is still a great way to make money so make sure to take advantage of that.
