New Desktop advice

So I'm not really much of a tech guy. I really don't know jack about what I need for a good computer. I want a desktop instead of a laptop this time. So I need some advice. I'm looking to purchase a new computer. I don't want to spend more than around $1000. I want it for gaming but I don't need anything too beastly as the highest end game I currently own (and I don't buy games often anymore) is D3. I just want something that can run games fast. I'll mostly be using it for D3 and Maple.

I did try and google some advice on this but the problem was that pretty much 100% of the advice I found was to build your own and the only reason I can get this desktop is because my mother in law is letting me use her Dell Credit Card. So I basically have to get my desktop from the Dell Store. So I was basically just looking for some help figuring out what kind of specs I would need to play D3 without lagging much (if it all).

So you are getting a Dell with a $1000 budget. Configured the graphic card to the HD 7770 on this computer: http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?oc=dxcwps1&model_id=xps-8500&c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19

I would say:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit (don't bother with Ultimate or Windows 8 for the time being)
750GB-1TB HDD
6-8GB RAM
Intel Core i5/i7 2nd or 3rd Generation
Nvidia GeForce GTX 600 or better

I dunno much about motherboards and all the more in depth stuff like processing power, overclocking etc.
