Canadian mobile carriers

Hey guys! I'm looking forward to getting a new phone since mine is pretty old and it's prepaid... As long as I have unlimited texts, unlimited weekends/evenings, some free minutes (e.g. 200 minutes), I'm good. Data is optional since I'll mostly be around places with wifi. I was thinking of going with Koodo, since WIND's connection apparently sucks. Oh, and I'm from Ontario.

What do you guys (Canadians, specifically) recommend? Which company/plan are you on?

I grandfathered a $50/m plan with unlimited talk and text, and 1GB of data from an old Blackberry plan circa 2011. Fido/Rogers is awful if you ever travel. Koodo will give you good reception across canada however their customer service is horrible. I really like Telus but you'll be paying $60/m for anything decent now days.

The one that @Icephoenix21 was a promotion that Koodo started and then Virgin and Fido copied it.

Koodo (in Ontario) is having a promotion right now.
$52 = Unlimited Minutes, Unlimited Messaging, Canada-wide Calling, Call Display, Voicemail, 1GB data (Additional data = $5/100 MB)

I am at the moment with Telus and I have a corporate plan with a company that I used to work for.
I pay like $55 a month for 3GB and everything else is free.

I don't have a cellphone that works in Canada (it's from the US).

However, my boyfriend uses Fido and he has unlimited texting and Canada-wide calling (aka no such thing as long distance). I think he has between 200-300 minutes and pays $45 a month.

There's probably some kiosks in the mall that have brochures on different carriers and their rates/packages. It may be a good idea to check those out.
