How to be happy in Maplestory

I have recently seen a lot of people complaining about how Maplestory is no longer what it used to be, how Big Bang and Chaos have been nothing but trouble, and that gameplay is now depressing, overly simple, and repetitive. It has been hard for some to accommodate satisfaction with gameplay.
However, you can find your ways to have fun!I have come up with a list of some things to help you have fun in Maplestory again.
Please don't raid my house if it doesn't work.

1. Find something that you're good at
Find something you're good at, and be good at it. If you're a strategic genius of sorts, go PvPing, if you're into merching, open up a shop. This'll make your spot in the game feel worthwhile. But don't stay on it too long - move onto other activities before it gets old.

2. Plan a day to take a break from grinding
So you've got a schedule of what levels you want to reach by which days. Schedule a day to be for relaxing in Maple. I know that grinding can be mind-numbing, and is the main complaint against Maplestory gameplay, but it isn't the only thing you can do! Think it isn't worthwhile to do anything else? Come on - Maplestory is a game. Why do people like to play games?

3. Explore
Maplestory is big for a reason! There are more places you haven't been to than you think. If you really feel that there is no reason that you should be anywhere but your regular training spot, make a goal of collecting monster cards or getting every "Explorer" title - the ultimate reward is quite tempting! It's fun to find monsters that are much stronger than you and sneak your way past them to the next map. Don't forget to bring return scrolls!

4. PQ
Party quests were designed by Nexon to be entertaining. You can meet a lot of new people in them, too! Mu Lung Dojo is a favorite of many because bossing is agreeably exciting. Think they ruined all your memories? Make new ones!

5. Find a less populated training spot
Putting up with KSers sucks. It's a fact. Forget Jesters - go to Magatia. (But don't go there in crowds)

6. Don't do boring things
It may seem really obvious, but many people overlook this. Peridots and Lunar Dews are sometimes the last straw for some. Even if the rewards for that particular activity are really exciting, don't continue if the activity is long, boring, and repetitive. If that reward is a must-have, work on it bit by bit.

7. Make yourself feel happy about your character(s)
This is a really important part of it. If a person feels that one of his or her possessions is ugly or not as lovely as it could be, they begin to feel embarrassed or tired of using that possession. Come up with a list of your most desired IGNs, and try them one by one and repeat until you have yourself a character with a name that people will want to buy. Go on Bannedstory or WentMyWay and make a look that makes you feel confident. Then make a point of making your character look like that. Wear items that you feel happy to have
I'm not trying to advertise buying NX, but try to make the characters on your account look like and be things to be proud of. If there's a character that makes you particularly unhappy, you may want to consider emptying that character of all useful items and deleting it altogether.

8. Socialize
Do your friends play? If so, add them, and use your chat like it's Facebook. Do they play in a different world? Ask your friends to play in a common world. Also, meet new people. Not all Maplers are greedy and ignorant trolls! Join an alliance, and get to know the members. There's no knowing who you'll meet.

9. Get involved in events
I've seen a lot of people who mope about not having done the Time Traveler quests or agent quests. Do you think that the ongoing events are just a waste of time? I'm certain that's what people were thinking during the Visitors event. Go ahead and try them out - just don't spend too much time at a time.

10. Do quests
Quests have been nearly forgotten. Besides required quests and GFA quests, some people do not do any quests at all. I think that the Magatia quest line is really fun and fresh, but that's not the only quest line that is worth your time.

11. Make a new character
Have you gotten tired of your skills or looks? Make a new character. If there's a class with a skill set that seriously interests you, go ahead and try it out. Outfit your old character with things that you want it to wear forever, then proceed to starting another Maple story on a brand-new character.

If things go too far downhill because of Maplestory, you're always free to take long breaks or quit.

This is my list so far, and I hope that the wall of text didn't hit you guys too hard. I like suggestions btw
