Do Gollux miniguide inside

http://i.imgur.com/5ZNvnt8.jpg

Easy mode Gollux can be completed by destroying both of it's shoulders and the abdomen, and finally the head. You can enter into Gollux as many times of keys you have. However, the guardian only gives you 3 keys a day. So on a day you cannot run Gollux, you may want to log in to just obtain the keys. The next time you can hunt Gollux, you would run 3 times just killing the three parts (shoulders and abdomen), then accepting another set of 3 keys, killing the head on the 6th run. So in other words, when you leave Gollux without killing the head, it "regenerates" the other parts.

Each part, the two shoulders and the abdomen drop one Gollux coin each. The head drops 2 coins. With two runs of shoulder + abdomen, and a 3rd run killing all parts, you can obtain 11 Gollux coins a day.

These coins can be used to purchase the rings and earrings for the Gollux set. The pendant and belt are dropped by the boss itself. The reinforced and superior rings/earrings can be sold anywhere from 900-1.5 bill clean. So in essence, 9 days of work can rack up a good 900 million mesos. For 30 coins, you can buy a 60% scroll that adds 4/4 attack/mattack and +3 to allstats. Most people scroll the Gollux items like I have in the image above.

The image above compares my 10% luck pendant to the scrolling Gollux pendant that has similar % Luck, but carries a 12 weapon attack over the pendant. For people that cannot afford the tyrant set, perhaps aiming for a superior/reinforced set may be a cheap alternative. In time, you could sell the superior earring, buying the reinforced pendant/belt (which are almost <400 mill each). With coins, you would buy the two pieces of reinforced gear, the ring and the earrings. With a completed set of reinforced Gollux, you could equip the superior ring for a boost in damage. If you wish to aim for the superior set and you have funding, purchasing the whole superior set and equipping the reinforced ring as an extra would be ever better as an alternative.

* Side note : Golden hammers can be a real pain, unless you have money to whip out 8 dollars on 2 extra slots. What I did was spam hammers/innocence until I landed the 2 50% hammers.

@KingSwill: Well last I tried I couldn't go in over 6 times. Maybe it was a problem with the purple keys not matching the brown ones lol
I'll have to check it out again

The head drops more than 2 coins. If you look carefully while looting, one of the coins is actually a stack of multiple coins ranging from 10-19 (from my experience).
Pretty n00b question. How the hell do I do normal mode? Do we have to be on a specific channel? If so which one? Sorry for changing the topic. o.o
Kill two weakspots of Gollux and make sure you don't enter the Head until you do so.

For example: if I killed the Abdomen and went to the Head, Gollux's Jaw would have Hard mode HP.
I decide that Hard is too difficult so I go out and kill the left Shoulder. However, when I go back inside, even though 2 weakpoints are taken out, Gollux will still retain his Hard mode HP.

Not too sure about this but,
Killing Abdomen: Prevents Gollux's inhale 1HKO attack
Killing Left Shoulder: Prevents Hand 1HKO on the right side of the map (?)
Killing Right Shoulder: Prevents Hand 1HKO on the left side of the map (?)

If you want easy mode, kill 3 weak points.
If you want normal mode, kill 2 weak points.
If you want hard mode, kill 1 weak point.
If you want hell mode, go right to the head.

The most cost effective Gollux set is: 1 Reinforced Ring, 1 Reinforced Earring, 2 Reinforced Engraved Pendants.
From experience, Normal Gollux head seems to yield 7~10 Coins and Hard 15~20.

Also 50% Hammers are the absolute worst.

Oh yeah, the prequests can take a while, and also requires you to collect drops. 1.2 rep/spider familiar helps too!

Appreciate the detailed explanation!

Was considering starting to farm Gollux soon, so this really helps!
