First time i/l mage need advice please

Hey pro mages out here Can someone please help me wih what i should cap my luk at? I have 2 bil+ funding if that helps. Also, since this is my first time with mages ( ive always been thief or something to do with dex), so what are the ideal items for end game? Eg. Glove, cape, helm, weapon, etc etc. Please be as specific as you can. Would be a large help thanks also, any tips would be nice
It's actually 23.
OT: My rather old I/L is capped at 71 and has way more than enough to equip a 163 staff without scrolling for LUK. I'm not that funded either. I'd say cap in the 40-50 range considering you don't have the funding to go "LUKless" and still equip a 163 staff, but it really depends on what equips you want to use for endgame and how far you think you're going to get.
20 for me because back in the old days when stats were determined by dice, I rolled a 5 on STR and a 6 on DEX. So yeah, it's 23 in general for people who made a mage in recent times due to the automatic 4 STR and 4 DEX.

Cap at 20 (this is the highest amount of Luk you will have assuming you are at level 200 with 999 int).
Realistically, you may need to cap at anywhere between 20-40.

Ideal endgame equipment assuming you have 250b+ funding excluding Nx:

Helm: Chaos scrolled Dragon Tail Cap or Chaos Zakum Helm scrolled for Int.
Overall: Chaos scrolled Dragon Tail Overall
Earrings: Any level 70+ earring perfectly scrolled with 10% Earring for Int.
Cape: Chaos scrolled Dragon Tail Cape
Weapon: Perfect GM scrolled 8 star Elemental Staff 7/8 or Dragon Tail Staff/Wand
Shield: Perfectly scrolled with 10%/60% Shield for Magic Attack VIP Mage Shield or Deimos Sage Shield
Pendant(s): 40/55/70 stat Chaos Horntail Necklace with dual 22/37/52 stat Horntail Necklace or chaos scrolled Rising Sun Pendant
Belt: Chaos scrolled Purple Witch Belt, Immortal Pharaoh Belt, Rising Sun Belt, Alma Von Leon Belt,
Shoulder: Chaos scrolled Silent Crusader Shoulderpads
Eye Accessory: Scrolled with 15% Accessory for Magic Attack Kenta's Goggles
Face Accessory: Scrolled with 15% Accessory for Magic Attack Branch Nose
Rings: Dark Angelic Blessing, Adventurer's Critical Ring/Rising Sun Ring, Evolving Ring I Level 17, Evolving Ring II Level 17
Medal: Time Traveler Medal, I'm A Lucky Guy Medal.

All potentialable equips except Branch Nose should be Unique 15%+ Int (current) or for Post-Legend patch, Legendary 21%+ Int.

For practical purposes, endgame equips should include at least a Horntail Neckalce and a Chaos Zakum Helm, both of which are easily obtainable and provide much needed stats. The rest of your equipment should be level 70+ and scrolled as well as possible with the best potential stats you can get. Your weapon is the most important component of your damage and you would want to spend the most money on it. For economical purposes, with your funding, you would most likely get an Elemental Wand 7/8. Equipment such as Eye Accessory, Face Accessory should be focused on last due to their lesser significance. Unless you have the funds to buy or make a level 70+ shield with magic attack, I don't suggest focusing on your shield early on. The same goes with your Belt and Shoulder.

I capped mine at 60, but I wasn't really funded.
If I were you, I'd cap it at 30 unless you want VIP weapons just go Lukless. If you want an Ele Wand/Staff, then you should go higher.

Definitely do what Coolgear said. Also, since you have that amount of money, you have the ability to buy new things all the time. Don't. I went from level 1-70 using a level 13 overall, and using average wands. Only at 64 did I spend a larger amount for a maple shine wand. You can get a requiem or requierre depending on gender, a zhelm/targa depending on preferences and at around 100 buy that overall, the level 98 gloves or whatever, and other things around your level with % int and then start thinking about an end game staff.
