How does depression feel
Is it the same thing as feeling sad or scared? Im 17, and Im wondering ok

I often tell people that MDD ("clinical depression" is devoid of feeling, rather than being sad or melodramatic. All of the passion is sapped from your life; no more interest in hobbies, friends, goals, reputation... Life just feels very mechanical.
You just feel like life is so pointless. You basically feel slightly more than 'sad'.
Ah man it's horrible.
My entire family lost their job to the stock market crash and our savings were depreciated over night. Work was tough, and unemployment was high.

it feels like you don't give a sht about anything - nothing at all.
I don't think I've ever felt "depression" rather than teenage angst and "sadness".
A lot of teenagers seem to confuse the two.
I should have grown a pair and sucked it up (at the time).
Some of you should too.
