Yep, speed-wise. Phantom Blow is definitely faster.
But maximum output per hit, Fatal Blow is definitely on top if you can hit max.

Well if you're talking about maximum output. I can say the same for Dual Blade's Fatal Blow.

It hits 8 times while Phantom Blow hits 6 times (+1 from Hyper)

I'm comparing maximum damage output skills. Db's can hit max easily with pb which is there maximum output skill.
Shad's maximum output skill is midnight carnival. It was meant to be used in 4th job which is why boomerang step buffs it up 25%. which is actually 147% total. 122%+25%.

@Ecyz: Dearie me. It appears I can't interpret words properly. Just that the whole thread was based on hitting max on PB without FC so I figured he was discussing damage with PB.

650k without FC on mobs what? I have a 132k range and I hit 550ks at most without FC on mobs without FC on F6?

I think he means on bosses. I'm at 105k buffed And I hit approx 770k without FC on bosses cuz I have lots of %boss

i hit max on normal monsters with 30k range sadly, i have no %boss so i don't even come close to max on boss monsters LOL

It's about 170K range to hit max on crockies.

i have 125k range with 65%pdr and do about 800ks on crockies. As @nikeball123 said, once you get unlimited FC it's not really based with or without FC

Get more %Boss if you want to cap on bosses, if you don't have Dojo gloves already then get them, %Total DMG and %ATK will help you.

Get buff duration and cool down reduction. When you have 100%FC, you don't have to worry about w/ or w/o fc.
