MapleStory Ban Definitions and Durations

Banning Guidelines:

Action taken against an offense must be uniform across all accounts, as a show of consistency.
Action taken will increase in severity with each consecutive offense in the same category, unless otherwise specified.
After the third consecutive offense in the same category, unless otherwise noted, the account is to be permanently banned for those offenses that were not initially deemed eligible for permanent ban.
Note: For any game with a ranking system, any account found guilty of hacking that has already been removed from the ranks will be not allowed to be placed back on rankings unless the account block is overturned by an Arbiter.

Not Eligible for Leniency

What does NEFL mean?
NEFL stands for Not Eligible for Leniency.
When an account is extremely malicious in the abuse that is occurring, it may be considered NEFL.

Bad Names - All inappropriate names will be required to have a name change. Ban durations are broken down based on the severity of the inappropriateness as indicated in the Terms of Use:

Impersonations - Impersonating someone else, including, without limitation, another user, Non Playing Character or Game Master ("GM&quot.
28 Days Suspensions (7 Days x 4)
Offensive Names - Contains vulgar, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise offensive, including any usernames which are sexual in nature.
Crime-Affiliated Names - Comprised of or includes the names (including "street" names) of any drug, narcotic or other criminal activity.
ASCII Character Names - Includes any special characters (i.e., ASCII codes)
Copyright or Trademark Infringements - Is or may be illegal or is or may be protected by trademark or other proprietary rights laws, or may cause confusion.
Guild Names - Ban duration is determined based on the severity of the inappropriateness of the name as listed above.
Pet Names - Ban duration is determined based on the severity of the inappropriateness of the name as listed above.

Personal Shop Name - Disconnect the player
Benefit Hacking - Taking advantage of a hacker's exploit.

For Tickets - Action will be taken solely in-game except for the permanent ban, which will take place in-game and in the ticketing system.

For Forums - Action will be taken solely on the forums. However, depending on the severity of the violation, a request may be made to take action in-game as well.

So this is what Nexon uses to ban people and i don't see anywhere about selling NX so will i get unbanned?
