What to raise overswing or high mastery

I just lvld to 121 and I am wondering what to raise first. I have been told by half the arans overswing and the other half high mastery. Any input on this topic =D?

also, just a heads up, you'll be able to max all 4th job skills with the sp you get from lv120-200 aside from 3sp into hero's will.

overswing tempest and final blow is the best to start with as it helps your training the most...well maybe not final blow but its awesome so who cares xP

I found that OS was best until I hit level 20 (would have gone to 30 if I had a book). I had one point in Final Blow (useful for sniping boogies at Zakum, FYI), one in Tempest (I don't recommend it, actually, since it's basically useless anywhere except flashy ends to bosses), one in Barrier (also unwise), and six in MW, since that 3% str made a 200-upper-range difference for me at level 130. Definitely welcome. Once I was done with OS, I went with Mastery.

Your damage is already stable enough before high mastery; it's probably just like the SE - Hurricane - Mastery strategy that Bowmasters often use (since SE is the ultimate party damage skill and Hurricane >>>>>>> Strafe). Get my drift?
yeah I got 1 overswing 1 high mastery and 1 final blow when i got job advancement I have the books for mastery not oveswing so I might just go with that first. Btw any info when to add some freeze standing for bossing?
This man got the first 3 points at 120 right =O.

OT: I did 20 OS first, not 30 because there really aren't any books around zzzzzz. My personal choice was to get FS since when moving around and training getting kb'd was a tremendous pain. Lvl 20 of that is good enough for a while. I then went 20 MW, probably shoulda done HM first, but it didn't really make a difference when training, since i'm strong enough.

They both are great in the long run, but OS definitely pays off now, and HM just pays off later. You end up with the same results, so it's just your level of patience.

my range (with my friend's stuff) is a LOT higher than his. i went HB first and he went OS first...now with lv1 OS i hit higher so IMO you should get HM to 26 then max OS. i'm leaving OS at 20 though due to OS30 prices

RIP FrostyCards.

EDIT: my build right now is
(at lv120)
1 tempest
1 OS
1 final blow

121+
-lv26 HM
then 20 OS
then max freeze standing/MW9
then barrier.
Get whatever you have the skill books for. I'd generally go for overswing first.

Do we get 3 points on 120? Or Just 1? For fourth job.
You get 3 sp when you get to 4th job.
GET MR BIG BEAR. IT'S A MUST

Overswing increases your maximum damage, the ability to hit monsters in the back of you (during the 2nd motion of double swing) becomes available, and you rack up combos faster.
High Mastery greatly increases your minimum damage and slightly increases your maximum damage.

Whatever you choose is up to you, I personally went with Overswing.

I personally went with overswing.
The damage from doing overswing first is only a little higher than doing high mastery first.

Do the one that you feel more comfortable doing

Oh and Overswing costs ALOT more than high mastery does

1 Overswing, 1 Temptest, and get Mastery to 19. That's my personal opinion though.
