Longest patch time
So, what is the longest patch since the beginning of maple? I heard from others that the total time for aran patch was 40+ hour. Also, did the RED patch already set a new record?
(count each part of a patch into the total, so all 3 parts of RED will count as one number).
Currently, RED is at:
Part 1: 11PM -10 AM, + ~12:30PM - 1:30 AM = 11 hours + 13 hours = 24 hours
Part 2: 11PM - 7AM, + 12:50PM - 6:15PM = 8 hours + ~5 hour 30 mins = 13.5 hours (still adding up because patch isn't done yet)
Part 3: ? (predicting it to be about 15-20 hours)
EDIT: Please include the unscheduled "Maintainance" as well. It counts toward total downtime per patch.
EDIT2: So Ariant patch was 25 hours 40 minutes, not including the unscheduled. Anyone have the highest number when INCLUDING the unscheduled?
EDIT3: OK, so perhaps saying "patch time" wasn't the best word choice. How about "Total downtime before the patch is playable without interruption, until next patch?"

I'm sure pirate took a while, but Ariant definitely took the longest.

Dang I don't remember how long but I do remember the NLC, 4th job/Leafre, Horntail, Pirate and Bigbang patches were quite , quite long. ....
The patch releasing 4th job was if i remember right 2 days long
Aran patch was definitely the most memorable for me.
I was busy playing and then had to move from my game room to my bedroom (need dat comfort doe). Unluckily, I had my earphones inbetween my keyboard and the screen and didn't realise it. When I opened it in my bedroom I saw a stream of LC and it broke my heart. .
It was -35C out (-45 w/ WC) and I needed a new laptop for studying/mapling. The roads were bad and most electronics were closed. I basically went from shop to shop for 4 hours trying to find a place that would sell me a laptop. Eventually I found one, but I realised that I'd forgotten to carry my gloves with me. So, I had to hold the laptop cardbox in my hand without gloves in -35C and basically got dat frostbite doe on my left hand and managed to get home.
I still managed all this before the patch finished.
IIRC, there was a discrepancy with the server names and icons and many glitches concerning quests and arans. It was omnishambles.
Anywho, I'm not sure which patch was the longest, by far, but to me it was the Aran patch. :o
Wasn't the 4th job patch like 4 days or something?

How the hell is RED pt 2 at 13 hours? It went smoothly and went fine with the 7 hour planned patch, plus one more hour to slap in some extra bug fixes they didn't get around to doing at the start of RED such as RA fixes. This downtime is only because of exploits, which is caused by the players and not by Nexon. These happen at any time.
There was a patch shortly after CWK and CK release that took nearly 48 hours.
Patch time doesn't include the maintenance's that follow, so most posts here are invalid

It felt like Big Bang was the longest, but it was just the anticipation of the biggest revamp to happen to the game. Technically speaking, I think it was the Ariant Patch.
Some people will say Ludi but I say Aran because it was postponed for over a week
Dual Blade patch... was a long time ago but I seem to recall it lasting 3 days or something.
Hmm, I wanna say Big Bang, but thats the only one I can really remember waiting for (played since beta, so its kind of hard to remember how long every single patch took). I'm certain that there was a longer one from another content update before that though.

Can anyone give approximate hours for the patches in "others" section? It seems big bang, ariant, leafre, and other patches are all long.
Chaos Patch 1 had the like 7 hour maintenance then another maintenance from like 2-midnight.

when ariant first came out a few worlds crashed for days. beforehand there was massive lag everywhere and opening guild chat could d/c you from the lag and cause maple to crash
if its extensions of schedueled ones, then its big bang for sure

Pretty sure we don't count unsched maints as they are not part of the patch.
This doesn't need to happen every long maintenance.
Red took a little bit over 24 hours.
