Empress Equips From Boxes
So, all you merchants and overly funded players, you got your wish. Nexon has made the boxes give empress equips at such a rare chance that it won't affect the game very much. How does it feel to screw over the unfunded/low funded?
EDIT: To anyone saying that I am complaining, no, I am not complaining. I can afford empress on my own and don't need the event.
Also, since no one seems to realize it, Nexon actually LISTENS to their player base sometimes. With all of the people complaining that the market will crash, Nexon probably decided to lower drop rates to appease those people. I.E. Funded players not getting money from their runs causes Nexon to lower drop rates.

I personally don't care, since they're dirt cheap regardless of events. That being said, I'm more annoyed at hearing certain people's opinion on it than anything.
The rich were the people complaining about it. Or the people who have the ability to basically go on empress runs and profit from it (therefore, a small percentage of the population). Empress only benefits them in gaining money, something they already (clearly) have good amounts of. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer.
Empress is like the bottom tier of 'average' nowadays, with fully cubed/scrolled/enhanced tyrant and Root Abyss equips being the best options. Why shouldn't people have a good chance at getting it, especially when they likely can't afford anything better? It's just a major amount of bogus, is all I can say.

Funny thing about this game is that damn near every item does fall from the sky. IE. Monsters and bosses.
I'm not going to BS you, I'm poor. I want to play the game and not merch the FM. I don't have another computer to leave a merch open, nor do I have the NX to spend on mushie shops in order to generate the funding to buy a whole set of Empress. On top of that, I don't feel like spending several hours of my day devoted to hunting down and merching items. Unless they did an event where Empress dropped from the sky, I won't be wearing any Empress anytime soon. I'm obviously not the only player in this situation.
Also, a good half of the funded people buy mesos or just buy the gear with NX or through PayPal.
The funded elite capitalist Free Market running folks are few, the unfunded fun-loving oblivious 12-year olds are many.
Its like the whole 1% - 99% thing, except probably more like 10%-90%. Nexon has to make money and to do that it gives perks to whoever feels obliged to pay.
Even the people in Nexon realize that theres 90% of the population who never see most of these benefits, maybe they want to do something about it.
But if that happens to screw over the carefully constructed in game economy, they will get a ton of backlash from their paying customers.
As we can all see here.
nexon only listens to those who spend money on nexon.

I have empress equips UNDER the nx. Also, all of the nx i have on my character comes from other people who bought premium boxes.
Making equips drop from boxes wouldn't screw the game up that much. It would give some players the chance to get or upgrade a piece of rare equipment without spending over max meso/huge load of NX on White Scrolls (guess how you get them?), Cubes (guess again), protection stuff (okay, this is getting old) or even PSok'ing their old equips from another character (more NX again).
Look at what happened to Nebulites. The game was pretty fair while the boxes were still around, we had an alternative other than endlessly cubing our equips to achieve "godly stats", but now take a look at prices, even for the crappiest ones. The reason? Nebulite became a "premium" service. It's literally impossible to acquire them through drops.

LOL. How is this elitist? She's completely right, we worked hard to get our equips and now Nexon gives them out for free and everyone still complains.
If people can't afford buying Empress equips or do V2...why don't they do Evo runs?....It's free equipment and you can sell the spare to buy your own weapon.

Wow you guys chill. It's been like 3 hours since the server check ended. There's still 44 1/2 more days of the event left. The prices will be affected over time lol.

The unfunded aren't getting screwed over by the funded. You think the funded players bribed nexon to make the empress equipment a rare drop? So people choose to sell the items they work towards for a high price...so what?

Who ever said I needed the equips or that i was complaining? I was asking for the opinion of the community on the subject of low drop rates. I can easily afford the empress equips myself.

It won't affect the game very much, seeing as how people have opened hundreds of boxes and got nothing noteworthy.
