If you level fast, remake it or just wait for another SP reset, (which is bound to come along soon). Portal is not all that important after 110, because it really isn't that useful at LHC or SH. Sure, it's fun to use at a lot of places but it shouldn't hinder your training. I would recommend just waiting for an SP reset, since it sucks to start over and you really do not benefit that much from it.

The portals are very important while training and outside of training too, such as at CWKPQ helping your party get up those annoying platforms or at LHC for getting around easier, or at bossing as an escape route. Anyway enough examples, I suggest doing the SP reset quest "Kazzooey" was mentioning. Or just remake your mechanic. I actually maxed everything but Hammer since nowadays its not so hot as it used to be, well for me anyway I was already 150. Good luck.

Portals are very important. The key to prevent ks and to absolutely DOMINATE a map is the use of your portals. I wouldn't remake your mech. Get to 3rd Job and do the Alliance quests to get a free SP reset before the event ends! Actually I don't know if they still give em out but its worth a shot. The 2nd Job skill I didn't max was hammer since it becomes obsolete when you get Fist Puncher thingy. But then again when they did the revamp I was already level 130.... So I guess you could just do the alliance quests and if there is not free SP reset, then go remake your mech because those portals are very important. You can get from 1-70 fairly fast during the x2 today so no worries.
