Fate Stay Hype Episode 1
The animation is excellent, as expected by Ufotable. I was sort of reluctant when I first heard that Kajiura wasn't doing the music for this one, but it doesn't sound that bad. I especially liked the song from the fight scene.
Those backgrounds and sound affects tho.
I didn't expect an almost hour long episode.

did u not watch the fate/stay night from 06 all the lore was explained in that one
damn, that was really good. I'm new to the fate series and I love it already.
It's a shame they're going through unlimited blade works storyline and not heavens feel, but it's getting a movie <3
Hopefully this anime will make up for that horrible one from 2006.

I never really liked the fate series that much (mainly because I'm not too fond of the characters), and fate/stay night was just an abomination. However, the animation in that one fight scene was flashy enough to convince me to keeping following the series.
Well this is just the first episode, the "introductory" episode; Fate/Zero had, and I stand by this, the WORST intro episode of all time. This one had an amazing first episode. The lore and information wasn't all dumped on you, it moved a strong pace, and I really like Archer's character. And of course the visuals and sound are good enough to melt your eyes/ears. Music was good, and personally I liked the music better than Fate/Zero's.
My only gripes are the monologue and dubbing. She monologues a little to much and this show is so gosh damn pretty but I HATE having to stare at subtitles. It's hard to admire the visuals and look at stuff when they're constantly talking cause you gotta keep your eyes on the subtitles :[ Wish it came out with a licensed dub from launch ...
Fate/Zero was terrible imo but this seems to work a lot better for me. I came into this series cause I was HOPING for it to not be as boring and overly complicated as Fate/Zero and it preformed very well... so far. We'll see as the series goes on.

I agree with you in a sense. Shirou was the weakest of the bunch in F/SN. I mean he wasn't bad, but rin and archer were soooooooo much better
47 minutes of best girl.
Kajiura's music all sound the same after a while.
