Dungeon Fighter Online

I want be the @mmorpg of DFO

YouTube Trailer for the Korean Version of this game
Some of you guys may have heard of a little game by the name of DFO that was run by Nexon NA from 2009-11 that bit the dust due to Nexon's terrible management. To sum it all up, Nexon closed the servers down due to not "having enough interest" in the western market even though in 2014, DFO ranked as #3 most profitable game worldwide right behind Crossfire and League respectively earning up to $891 MILLION per year. It is extremely close to the #2 spot by a mere $6 million. (MapleStory being #6 in 2014) They cut communication with the community and stopped updating their game for ~4 months before they shifted all of the blame on the players. We still had HALLOWEEN EVENTS in FEBRUARY because they didn't care to remove them.

Well, I don't want to make this extremely long, so I'll get to the point. NeoPle, the developers of DFO for all regions in the world, (China, Korea, Japan) is opening a GLOBAL version of their game and it will be in MUCH BETTER HANDS than that of Nexon NA's. (They do not have any plans on IP blocking at the moment which could be a + or a - depending on hackers/ bots.) No more BS customer service, and no more P2W crap. This scenario is very peculiar as the game is a multi millionaire gem that is being published directly by the developers.

We had an Alpha test run directly by NeoPle mid-last year to test the waters for popularity and they are planning to release an "open to everyone Closed Beta" next month in March. I would really love to see you guys there next month to give this game a try or another chance if you're a veteran. As of now, there is a small following as they have not officially advertised this game yet and is only getting known by word of mouth.

- The only way to communicate with the devs at the moment is through their FB Page. DFOGlobal

Now, if you read through the entire thing, I thank you for your time. <3

EDIT: Some Minor Edits.

@PydrexLoL:
I've never payed any money to play Kr DnF.

I believe the Chinese version is serviced by Tencent and the Japanese version is by Nexon Japan. KDnF is published by Nexon Kr.

NeoPle is a sub section of Nexon Korea who make content almost exclusively for DFO. So DFOGlobal is basically going to be runned by a successful development company owned by an extremely successful publishing company, at least, in Korea.
If NeoPle is how players claim they are, that's pretty accurate. I know for a fact that it's not P2W as I've played the Korean and Chinese versions of the game.
- @GeminiBladeZX Yeah. I've been feeling that too. I put Maple on Hiatus AGAIN a couple of months ago and started playing Vindictus to kill time until March.

@marioluigi52 I played Male Mage until level 50. Man their invincibility is beyond OP.

@djho57 Oh nice a Berserker. My brother mained one. Him and I have never spent a dollar on that game and we got pretty far. I capped 2 characters and mained a Soul Bender and reached a +12 70 SS. Not bad.
my understanding with different versions of the game is that they have different publishers.
kr dfo publisher is nexon kr. nexon kr currently has 40 games published. so that's probably the reason why it's not as p2w as na version of the game. also, kr dfo has a monthly fee to play i believe.
i might be wrong on everything.

Pretty hype since Maplestory has been so stale as of late.

Might become invested depending on how much I enjoy it.

I had a nice time in alpha testing. Found out all the previous $ items were purchasable with in-game currency & got to level 40 completing all quests. There were already gold sellers in there when I started tho

Yeah, I'm giving this a try again. Never got that far into the Nexon version, but I'll try it again.

Ah Yes. Only the end-game content rely HEAVILY on team work. Around the last 1/5th of the game. One person's minor screw up kills the entire party.

Supposedly, with the entire new revamp of the game in a somewhat newest patch, the game became much harder and more reliant on parties.
