What does it mean to die?

Death is a hunter not unbeknownst to its prey. But then what do the hunted think of the hunter?
So if we live to die, then what's the point of living?
To reproduce? But what about those who can't reproduce because of impotency?
To work? But what about those who are unable to deal with others?
To give your own meaning to your own death? Isn't that pointless seeing that you'll be forgotten eventually?
To give meaning to your own life? Isn't that also pointless because people will distort your words over time?
To find someone to love? But that just means living with someone who you enjoy spending time with. You have to say goodbye eventually when their time comes.
To hate? Simply because life has shown you nothing but misery gives you the right to hate upon others?
To ostracize? Because someone is different, it's okay to ridicule them? Why do people think this?

And what about living to eliminate the ostracization of individuals?
Why are so many against that way of thinking? Why don't people just look at others as individuals without the need to judge based on one's job, lover, sexual preference, medical conditions, desires, or whatever. Why are people so xenophobic?

@darkstar66 I think MelodicControl's answer is correct. But there are two perspectives to death: death for the subject, and death for those around the subject.

When you die, you aren't going to care who remembers you or what people do with your body, or anything like that, because you're dead and have no $hits left to give, really. "Funerals...are for the living." Death is the cessation of existence, and meaning, and purpose.

Then there's the effect that death has on those who are still living. Maybe it's actual death of a person, or simply the concept of death, but death never fails to inspire some sort of reaction from humans as a whole. "Death is a personal matter, arousing sorrow, despair, fervor, or dry-hearted philosophy." I think that for a lot of people, life is just running from death. We try to squeeze in as much comfort and happiness as possible into the present and the past before, inevitably, the future greets us.

But can you say with absolute certainty that you would be fine with dying the very instant you were conceived?
I'm not trying to knock you down, but wouldn't that mean that you should kill yourself right now because it's the logical
thing to do? I don't know you, nor do I need to know. But I'm under the assumption that you won't die because there's many things in life that you'd like to see. Personally, there are too many things that I would like to experience so I won't die just yet. I'd prefer to die of natural
cause, but definitely not anytime soon.

But then there are those who believe there is life after death as if their God would accept them into his realm or banish them to hell for all eternity. There are also those who believe in reincarnation. And you can't say that you cease to exist when your physical body remains and people still have memories of you. I get what you mean, but death is not the end to one's existence as there are those who remember you. From a solely scientific standpoint, your answer makes sense. However people generally remember things about those who have died. For example, I still remember my grandfather. He may be long gone from this world, but those memories that I have of him probably won't fade until I die.
Blah. I guess you're right in the long run.

By "mean" I would like to say "how would you define?" I probably should have made that the title.
What group is that? Never herad of Blood on the Dancefloor.
Existentialism is an interesting thing. I did a paper on it actually.
I prefer an anonymous lifestyle, but that is merely my opinion.
I simply want to know what you all think when asked questions like this.
And yes, I do believe there is nothing after death.
Why would I need to ask what does it mean to love? I know the feeling by experience.
