Google/interwebz having problems for me Kay, so I got a virus a couple days ago (Thinkpoint virus, it's gone now), but whenever I use google and click any link one of the search results, one of two things happen: -I end up in a random website for insurance/cars/videos/courses -I end up in a website that's blank except for a few sections of code and firefox crashes In both these results, the page takes a minute or two to load, which is unusual. Did these problems come up from the virus, and how can I solve this problem?
What should I do about this virus? So I got a Thinkpoint virus a couple days ago, and managed to wipe it out; however, I think that the virus has affected Firefox/IE, as I get linked to some random website every single time I use a search engine. Someone suggested Kaspersky, so I DL'd it, and scanned with it. It continuously detects explorer.exe and some of the stuff in my system32 folder viruses, wipes them out, and then my computer is forced to system restore before I DL'd Kaspersky. Does anyone know a solution to this issue?
