Kinesiology in Ontario?

Hey, I recently went to OUF (Ontario University Fair) with a friend I became really interested in kinesiology. But the thing is, I don't want to take kinesiology to be an athletic trainer or phys. ed teacher but to get into Med school. First, is that possible? To get a degree for Kinesiology and then apply for med school? Second, which schools have best kinesiology program?

You can get into Med school with any degree. All you need are the premed courses such as chem, organic chem, bio, physics, and to pass the MCAT. People only go into the life sciences because they would be predisposed to the material of Med school.

I'm not sure how it is in Canada, but in USA, it doesn't matter what major you are. You can major in Business and still go to med school. As long as you meet all the pre-req before you graduate (usually Bio 1 and 2 + labs, Physics 1 and 2 + labs, General and Organic Chemistry 1 and 2 + labs, and two semesters of math).

Each school is different so you'll have to look them up on their website but in general, those are safe assumptions.

I don't know which universities are good for Kinesiology, but look up Med School requirements. I know McGill asks for a 3.5 GPA.
