Religion isnt the real problem

It's organized religion. Those religious leaders are just a bunch of scammers.

To add on, some things religion teaches are also bad like homophobic things.

I actually read somewhere that the anti-homosexuality thing in the Bible is frequently taken out of context but idk I haven't finished reading the Bible yet

a lot of parts need to be interpreted from a historical/cultural point of view and you need to read the whole thing to understand it because some parts explain other parts and yeah it's like a complicated piece of work not to mention really dull at some points

And yea I agree. Even the most ridiculous religion don't have the power as Christianity as an organization does
On a individual level, Christians are all fine and dandy, it's when they're organized and actually have a say over other beliefs that it's not
@tjhermit Sorry, it's just that he mentioned it!
It is fine, i just don't like it when people bring Religion and Sexual Orientations into the same discussion. Then it just becomes a hatefest.
People can believe what they want. And even if we tell them to stop being homophobic, they won't.
Can we please get off the Homosexual subject? I am tired of seeming them. If people keep blowing stuff out of proportion, people will start to hate homosexuals more.

There is definitely proof he existed. For one the Romans kept records of him, and definitely recorded his crucifixion.
Also the Roman historian Josephus mentioned him in his writings.

This passage is almost definitely authentic:
"But the younger Ananus who, as we said, received the high priesthood, was of a bold disposition and exceptionally daring; he followed the party of the Sadducees, who are severe in judgment above all the Jews, as we have already shown. As therefore Ananus was of such a disposition, he thought he had now a good opportunity, as Festus was now dead, and Albinus was still on the road; so he assembled a council of judges, and brought before it the brother of Jesus the so-called Christ, whose name was James, together with some others, and having accused them as lawbreakers, he delivered them over to be stoned."
Jewish Antiquities 20.9.1

And now this passage, the famous Testimonium Flavianum, was probably altered by medieval translators. Nonetheless it is suspected that the original also carried a mention of Jesus.

"Now there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man, for he was a doer of wonderful works, a teacher of such men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both many of the Jews, and many of the Gentiles. He was the Christ, and when Pilate, at the suggestion of the principal men among us, had condemned him to the cross, those that loved him at the first did not forsake him; for he appeared to them alive again the third day; as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him. And the tribe of Christians so named from him are not extinct at this day."
Jewish Antiquities 18.3.3

Sends him to hell.
and wheres your proof for that. there definitely are corrupt leaders that use religion for their selfish wants. i assume youre talking about christianity because for some reason everyone on basil has something against it. it does not teach homophobia. it does say that homophobic actions and thoughts are sins but people often misinterpret that as hating gays. westboro for example is completely misunderstood.

@kushied well that wasnt rude at all. floating man in the sky? you must be extremely knowledgeable /sarcasm
