3 Years since last login. Lots of new things Overwhelmed

I'd like to start by saying that Maplestory is not very friendly towards those that didn't play for a while. Quests everywhere, new cities, weapons and a bunch of other confusing stuff.

Im pretty much looking for new playing buddies and possibly a guild.

I just got a welcome back package with a bunch of tempest equipment, but I don't know if I should use them or sell them. I currently have 7m and I have no idea what they're worth.

Any tips and recomendations are welcome

I didn't expect overpowered classes. Why the heck would anyone play the adventurer class now?

Most explores especially marksman are stronger than some of the other classes
Edit: fail quote
This isn't really true..now that we have Hypers we're on par with other classes now.

That is also the case with me...Although I was gone for 2 years, I didn't get a tempest welcome back box and I got back a week ago. Maybe I should have been gone 3 years

But yeah, I had a stroke of luck and one of my old friends logged on while I was on and I joined her guild.

Sell the Tempest Equips, you could get 20-30m each for them, then buy Empress equipment (Level 140 equips) for 15-20m each, hehe.

Anyway, I did the same as you recently, it's actually quite hard to get back into it because there aren't many people around that want to help you, I often got "noob" and kicked from parties because I was unsure, when technically I had been playing Maple on-and-off longer than most of them.

I would say if you're starting a new character, maybe make a support character, it's the best way to get to talking with people, getting invited into parties and guilds etc. This way, you can make friends and see if they'd be willing to take you on boss runs/parties etc.

I personally made a Kanna first, this is a newer class released a couple of months ago, that has some support skills. Unfortunately they're not available for creation at the moment.

But yeah, go through the whole of the "Tot's Helper" (The ginger kid on the left side of the screen), that gives you a lot of information, as well as equips up 'till level 60 and some useful items too.

I will say though, leveling is a LOT quicker than it was 3 years ago. Since I've been back two months ago, I've got a 14X Kanna, 13X Cannon Master, 12X Demon Slayer, 11X Wind Archer, 10X Phantom and 10X Luminous.
