An Aran comes back
Hey guys, I decided to come back to maple for my 2-month dead time between high school and college. My main is/was a 173 Aran in Arcania. I stopped playing two years ago, Nov 2012. Are there any cool must-have equips for Arans? I'm using a 12x att PSB right now and like ~40% str. Angel blessing ring and what not. Last time i was playing, the best PA was Lionheart. Is that still true? Anything else i should know? Any different builds? (I stopped playing before the whole level 250 and job adv. level requirement changes)

PS: If anyone else is in Arcania, or the merged world actually, and has an active guild, maybe I could join it?

Yeah i realized. Playing style changed alot. FB and hyper is kinda useless now. Too bad
Os and Fbbb is now serperate, kind of hard to get used to for old arans.
Wow, I went on and I realized, I knew absolutely nothing about the Maple world, or even how to fight using my Aran. Is FB seperate from OS now? How do we fight?

Lionheart is only about 6/10 quality now and isn't that good. PSB are useless now as well and nobody buys them.
Best Polearms are: Terminus, Fafnir, and Sweet Water. Fafnir is the most expensive since it goes with the best set in the game atm. SW and Terminus aren't that expensive and are very VERY powerful as well.
Aran gameplay has gone downhill since then so you may or may not like the new Aran as it's become nothing but a Demon Slayer wannabe (OS racking up combos, spam Tempest/FB to spend) A lot of people quit arans because of it.
You should train at Second Drill Hall and then Hall of Honor.
Also, you may have noticed that Aran's playstyle has significantly changed. Combo acts kind of like Demon Slayer's DF but without a cap. You can now hotkey skills that you couldn't previously (such as Final Blow) and spam them although this will cause them to consume combo instead of generate it.
There is one universally good set for all classes: Chaos Root Abyss Equipment (Royal Warrior Helm, Eagle Eye Warrior Armor, Trixter Warrior Pants and a Fafnir Weapon, for Warriors) alongside a set of Tyrant items (Cape, Belt and Shoes, Hyades are the Warrior Tyrant items), with a set of Gollux accessories (Earrings, Belt, Pendant and Ring, but most people forgo the belt for a second Pendant).
Unfortunately Lionheart is no longer the best Polearm. The best would be a Fafnir Moon Glaive.
Skill builds aren't really required these days, since you can max all of your 4th job skills by 190, if not earlier.
