How do services usually work?

So I was thinking about doing a Unique Potential Scroll service, which I've never done before. So my question is, how do services (to be more specific, the Potential Scroll service) usually go? Is it the typical "I scroll it for you and you pay me", or or should I give something in exchange or something?

Pretty much what ^ said, if you don't have collateral your choices are to "invest" in some items like gollux acc
or tattoos/glasses and use those for collateral or sell to people you know like guildies and such. Personally
I don't like collateral since the other person can run away with your item(happened to a friend and he got
an item that is somewhat the same price but hard as hell to sell) and again like mentioned above sellers
could just be bsing and using silly scrolls(icog>cog switch). Don't be those type of people haha~

If the buyer trusts you to handle their item, they simply give it to you and you scroll. You discuss prior to that whether the payment is on a per-success basis or not and depending on the verdict, mesos (or other various forms of payment) are part of the latter transaction.

If the buyer doesn't, you give them collateral (something of equal of similar value for a layer of security) in the same trade in which they give you their item.

Good practice to take screenshots before, during and after scrolling the item so they know you used that which you claimed to have.

Generally, people will ask for collateral, then you scroll what they gave you, if the scroll suceeds, you get paid, if it fails, you trade back (and generally no pay)
