Farming tempest rings/shoulders, mmb merching (you can generally sell even crap books for about 5m) and trying to find underpriced abr recipes (made over 100m on these yesterday) although Abrs are deflating right now... gl

Best way to merch is follow on the events. Events are the like the best free source of money. Follow up on what people demand and get those event items quickly. the faster you get it the more it will cost to sell. Like for example tempest rings are around 35-50m atm. If you started right when the event started it could of been around 100m a ring. Events are a free source of money, with effort of course. Everything takes effort or time thats how you play the merching game.

Okay, since youre starting up ill tell you the best way. Get on a Kaiser,Lumi,AB and get 83 tempest coins to buy shoulders. They sell at 30-50m a piece clean. After that, you gotta find the best thing at that moment. Since the demand in certain goods rises while others decrease. For those you gotta find something that works for you. Since most people will not tell you what they merch to make so much money since all the other players on basil will do the same, hence will cause that said item to deflate like crazy. Not trying to be a Dbag or anything, but yea its all about experience. Once you got the hang of it youll be on autopilot.

do the tempest events. get rings, sell rings, get more rings, sell more rings, you get the drill. You should have like 300m or so before you actually start merching.
