None of my spells hit over 9 units, and I'm often run over by mobs when my puppet runs out.

don't charge pierce at all, just spam it
I take extra mobs hit with pierce for von leon summons and dimensional invasion pq. It maybe situational but considering the massive spawn on golems in twilight perion it actually is good hyper. With that you can kill the fliers in 2 pierces if you one shot em

If you are upgrading your range and will have some money to spend I Would get full empress if you don't have it, and if you are lucky, a better weapon then that. Your weapon is your best source of attack and attack plays a big role in your range!
Cant say i've ever had any problems while leveling my marksman other than getting stunned twice against the floaters. Releasing PA in the air helps reach the ones normally out of reach, and if you drop a l33t puppet before they spawn, it keeps the first wave from running away.

What's your range?
I don't see how it's possible to beat the gargoyles, half of them run away before you can kill them regardless of your ability to one-shot them.
I should be able to beat the gargoyles, but I lag when I use pierce meaning they die like 1 1/2 seconds after i use it to ko them. Eventually, they over run me.

How do you beat the flying mob level? There's (a LOT) more units than 9, and you can't charge your pierce fast enough to clear them all before they fly away.
@airforce1: Oh, that's number of attacks. Mob hits isn't displayed, so I didn't realize.

LOTS of nx, mesos and funds ...
It's pretty hard to solo DI as a Marksman, because of Pierce's charge time and damage.
