Dat customer support lt3
So a lot of people complain about Nexon's support, which I have to admit is subpar, but today I experienced a whole new level of incompetence. Recently, I decided to play Maple again. Much to my horror, there's something wrong with my computer/net causing my computer to be unable to connect to the Nexon servers (no worries I stole my brother's computer to play instead). Anyway, back on topic, I Googled around only to realize that I'm not even getting paid to do so much tedious labor so I decided to contact my ISP. On the Comcast support page, they had an option to have a live chat (like IM) with a staff member so I did that and they responded within a minute which was great. I told her my problem and all the fixes I tried (restarting, resetting IP, resetting router, resetting modem, clearing DNS, changing MAC, reformatting PC etc.) and send her a traceroute screenshot. I was expecting a competent answer for the multi-paragraph statement made, but instead, she asked me which browser I used (Chrome) and then walked me through clearing the cache/passwords and $#%*. I was in disbelief considering how I told her I reinstalled windows and everything. Well, her "solution" obviously didn't work. I told her and she seemed a little bummed out. Next, she suggested that she reset my connection and told me to stay online. In case you guys didn't catch it, I can't really stay online if she resets my connection (break the DCHP lease). I facepalmed while going through the activation process for the modem and 5 mins later when I got back online, the chat thing ended.
On a brighter note, I just got a waterproof case for my iPad and now I can type with my tongue and not have to worry about drooling on it ^__^
